Pocket Listed REOs, Ideal for Reclamation / Squatting
I wrote this Sunday morning and accidentally posted it with the title and handle transposed. I really do think this is valuable information I'm sharing and I don't want it missed by people thinking its silly internet gossip about a handle they aren't familiar with so I'm reposting and including the comments others left on the original article on the bottom. I'm leaving mine out, I need to go and its not showing up on the post yet.

Anyway please note any questions and I will answer to my ability but I would like to re-iterate that I am not offering legal advice, I'm not a lawyer and I don't even play one on TV. I actually just barely have both my GED and Diploma (long story.) My advice is from years of study and interest in this subject but does come with a double your money back guarantee if you aren't satisfied. My level of interest in this subject can only be explained by my handle. I'll only be checking the email below for the next week or so.

The Bend city manager can declare an emergency any time the temperature drops below 25 degrees, and local shelters are full.

That allows churches and other buildings to house people overnight and keep them out of the cold. Gary Marshall is the fire marshal for the City of Bend.

Gary Marshall: "We have to remember that spending the night is a lot different than a day shelter. A day shelter you are just looking for a place to come in and stay warm. These people have the same right of safety as any of us that can afford to stay in a motel."

The Civic Action Group A judge has ruled the Sit/Lie unconstitutional but Police Chief Rosie Sizer released a memo stating that all the judge ruled was that Portland should just use disorderly conduct instead of Sit/Lie. That is not what the judge ruled and her vague memo creates NO meaningful distinction between the Sit/Lie and disorderly conduct. This is not how the city should react to the loss of the constitutional legitimacy of the Sit/Lie. Two many good people have worked to hard on this issue for the Police Chief to take such a step without analysis and public input....

Who Killed Downtown? reposting of a revised version
Rosefriend demolition There are five organizational actors in the downtown makeover campaign who go relatively unappreciated. They reside in city government, in media, in associations, in professional-industrial firms, and in various informal milieu that share the same agenda, which is a social-climbing agenda. Unhappy with the citizenry as it is, they set about converting our downtown into a "world class" commercial utopia for high-end corporate chains and an imported population of fellow social-climbers.
Their mentality was that of the bubble. Inflating downtown real estate was at the heart of their fantasy plan, small business and local renters be damned. Now, as the bubble bursts and "developers' dreams turn to dust," what will be the future of downtown, and who will make this future? Here are five well-entrenched institutional entities to watch, challenge, resist:

1. The Portland Design Commission ("the other PDC")
2. The Downtown Neighborhood Association (DNA)
3, The Daily Journal of Commerce (DJC)
4. The Portland Tribune ("The Cement Mixer")
5. TriMet
