Sen. Bernie Sanders 03.06.2011 15:20
Video: Senate Stops Medicare Disaster
In a floor speech shortly before Wednesday's Senate vote, Sen. Bernie Sanders focused on the impact on Medicare. "It would end Medicare as we know it by giving senior citizens inadequate vouchers to buy health care," he said. "It is a disaster." That's not all. The kicker, Sanders added, was that the Republican plan would provide $1 trillion in additional tax breaks.

SMART METERS, TOXIC LIGHT BULBS-- DOES ANYBODY IN PORTLAND CARE ABOUT THESE???
It's a Hard Rain, Use an Umbrella Why aren't Portlanders fighting the installation of "smart meters" All over the country communities are fighting their installation and some cities are criminalizing the installation of them for health concerns (exposure to Radio Frequency Radiation) and Privacy concerns (the city knows what appliances you use and when you use them and all info about energy consumption). Why were we asleep when they were installed and why is there no fight to get these things out of our lives???

Self-Funded Study Found HUGE Tumors from Aspartame (book, pictures, video, etc.)
aspartame rat with massive tumor, consuming within the FDA allowance per kg Victoria Inness-Brown conducted a personal two and a half-year experiment on the effects of aspartame, probably the worst of the artificial sweeteners on the market. Her experiments resulted in the book, My Aspartame Experiment: Report from a Private Citizen, as well as the shorter summary version Are Your Diet Sodas Killing You? Results from My Aspartame Experiment. Victoria Innes-Brown has done us all a great favor by publishing the findings of her private experiments. Over a two and a half-year period, she performed a set of meticulous and detailed animal experiments, documenting the horrific effects of using aspartame liquid comparable to diet soda. I believe her work adds to the bulk of data already available, confirming and reinforcing the true health dangers of this popular artificial sweetener. Much worse for women than men are the cancerous effects of aspartame. And aspartame seems to have the ability to cause birth defects in the second generation--whether this is permanent genetic damage or just developmental damage no one knows. Though aspartame regularly damaged babies of the next generation in the study.

Fukushima radioactivity too high to be measured. Monitors "useless"
According to NHK: "A radiation monitor at the troubled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant says workers there are exposed to immeasurable levels of radiation.

The monitor told NHK that no one can enter the plant's No. 1 through 3 reactor buildings because radiation levels are so high that monitoring devices have been rendered useless. He said even levels outside the buildings exceed 100 millisieverts in some places.

radiation in california rain is 181 times higher than normal
the governments of japan and the u.s. are maintaining a wall of silence about the greatest nuclear disaster in history.

they're 100-year plan to cap the damaged reactors and wait till later to handle the reactor cores ensures that millions of people will die from radiation poisoning.

at least the nuclear power industry will be protected.

uncovering the seriousness of japan’s nuclear catastrophy
japanese government officials have been busy recovering from a severe natural disaster, and there are areas in their country that still have not been visited by search and relief groups.

they've also been busy denying that japan is experiencing the greatest environmental disaster human beings have ever created.

several nuclear reactors have gone offline, and an entire facility - fukushima - has suffered explosions in three of its six reactors, and partial meltdowns in at least three, one of which hasn't yet blown up.

so far, this incident is listed as a category 6 nuclear incident by the international atomic energy agency. to put that into perspective, the three mile island incident in the u.s. was a category 5 incident, while the worst incident in the past - the explosion of a facility in the former soviet union, at chernobyl in the ukraine - was a category 6 incident.

however, as the joke goes - this one (the fukushima incident) goes to 11!

Hirose Takashi: What They’re Covering Up at Fukushima
All of the information media are at fault here I think. They are saying stupid things like, why, we are exposed to radiation all the time in our daily life, we get radiation from outer space. But that's one millisievert per year. A year has 365 days, a day has 24 hours; multiply 365 by 24, you get 8760. Multiply the 400 millisieverts by that, you get 3,500,000 the normal dose. You call that safe?

Hirose Takashi has written a whole shelf full of books, mostly on the nuclear power industry and the military-industrial complex. Probably his best known book is Nuclear Power Plants for Tokyo in which he took the logic of the nuke promoters to its logical conclusion: if you are so sure that they're safe, why not build them in the center of the city, instead of hundreds of miles away where you lose half the electricity in the wires?

Cruel US confiscates citizen iodide & secretly has "Ex-Rad", drug against lethal radiation
Fukushima Daiichi #1-#4 reactors, from right to left, all exploded what a tyranny the US has become. Confiscating potassium iodide while keeping this drug Ex-Rad secret. Release both potassium iodide and Ex-Rad now. The "Fukushima 50" deserve it first. They are the volunteer workers at the Japanese nuclear disaster risking their lives on a known suicide mission to stop a full nuclear meltdown--from hitting Japan and hitting the USA. ---- "Reports of radioactive contamination and a potential meltdown at the complex have many Americans wondering how prepared our own government would be in the event something similar occurred here. More specifically, could the the health of residents living near a severely damaged nuclear reactor in the U.S. be ensured? Thanks to the advanced work of the men and women who develop our nation's military medicine, the answer is yes - but only if the government now takes the necessary steps. In what has to be one of the greatest accomplishments in the history of military medicine, the U. S. military has developed a radiation protection drug known as Ex-Rad that can give protection through DNA repair against otherwise lethal dosages of radiation. Ex-Rad, which is administered as an injection or orally, can be given either before or after exposure. While Ex-Rad officials are continuing to work with the FDA, it has successfully cleared two clinical studies showing it is safe."

Researchers discover a shocking 96 percent decline in four major bumblebee species
New research published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences has found that another vitally important pollinator, the bumblebee, is in serious decline. According to the figures, there has been a shocking 96 percent decline in four major species of the bumblebee, and an up to 87 percent decrease in their overall geographic coverage.

"We provide incontrovertible evidence that multiple Bombus species have experienced sharp population declines at the national level," explained researchers in their report. And in a phone interview with Reuters, study author Sydney Cameron from the University of Illinois, Urbana, explained that these bumblebee species are "one of the most important pollinators of native plants."
