Allison Lance Watson has been an outspoken activist for animals for many years, advocating the elimination of vivisection, opposing the fur trade, and all animal abuse. While the subject matter of this grand jury investigation has yet to be made fully public, it appears to be targeting Watson due to her political beliefs and activism.

Several powerful speakers talked to protesters along the march route. I would like to summarize some of what I heard.
As we have seen corporate media has a black out on all protests against the world domination game going on around the world. Support the local media who support us. Blackball the Oregonian "WARIGONIAN" and other media who continue to disregard the growing Democracy Antiwar Movement!
"Indymedia" websites around the world destroy the line between media and audience, allowing instant posting of news stories, images and sound for easy viewing anywhere. Global Indymedia is at www.indymedia.org and since 1999 the network has grown to more than 60 local Indymedia sites.
Seattle's A20 rally/marches were spirited and inspiring, though there were a few predictable run-ins with the SPD.

Hammick's family is organizing a series of demonstrations calling on police to tell the truth about what happened that night, and to end their "fire at will" approach to African-Americans.

Though the cops new of the general plans for the march, no permits were procured. Given that Eugene's Free Speech Plaza had been taken over by Saturday Market, "Free Speech Street" was created by shutting down 8th St. When the People have something to say, room will be made to hear it.
