In the wake of the 2004 elections one of the most positive aspects has been the alliance between the Green Party and Libertarian Party candidates in pursuing the issue of vote fraud. In the past several elections I have noticed that many "third" parties share a lot more in common with each other than they do with either than with the 2 dominant corporate parties. I have asked myself: could there be a movement toward a coalition of people disaffected and disgusted by the direction of the US? I see insights being offered by many people, of many different political beliefs that could be integrated into something workable. I turn first, to some thoughts of what has been lost from the revolution that brought the United States into being and present it as a critique of what is missing from contemporary libertarian rhetoric.

The Forest Service released another egregious timber sale in Mount Hood National Forest, and this time convienently over the holiday season. Public pressure early in the process has forced the Forest Service to drop much of the sale, but there are still many problems remaining that need to be addressed. BARK has been working on this sale from the inception and are calling upon the local community to help stop this sale and preserve our heritage.

And the question that should be asked is who is more generous, those that have a lot and give a little of what they have or those that have a little and give a lot of what they have. Here then is the aid given by the countries Limbaugh rails against ordered by aid as a percentage of GDP. As you will see, the US is not the least generous, but far from the most.
