Infiltrators? Or just Assholes?

These two guys were chanting "No Peace, People's War!", and seemed really intent on aggravating the crowed to violence. The guy with the beard had a metal pole and was later seen getting into a fight and 'scuffling' with someone with it. There we several others with them, but I didn't get their pictures. I don't think I'm being paranoid....

76 percent support Bush's choice to attack?

Yep, CNN is reporting that 76 percent of Americans support Bush's choice to attack. How can this be? I know CNN is a tool for U.S. propaganda, but it still carries great responsibility to be factually correct on matters of such importance. It is the most sickening statistic of U.S. apathy, ignorance and detachment I have ever seen.

Victim's Father Has Strong Words For Bush

As he held a picture of his son, Waters-Bey's father, Michael, said: "I want President Bush to get a good look at this, really good look here. This is the only son I had, only son." He then walked away in tears,... "It's sad that this war is going on and that we have to lose so many people over nothing. I can't bring my brother back, but I really miss him," one of the soldier's sisters said. The family spoke and shared their feelings against the war.

Deconstruct the Media/Part Two/What is Jamming
![Deconstruct the Media/Part Two/What is Jamming]()
Instead of fucking ourselves over when we aim to fuck up/subvert the corporate media, we should think of new approaches to accomplish the same goal. Here's one suggestion. Take it or leave it. (Although I think you really out to take it.)

'Shock and Awe' Blinding Investors

The bombing of Baghdad apparently has investors watching CNN's war coverage instead of the latest economic news. If they were paying closer attention to the latest economic reports, they would see that the economy is getting worse, not better.

Fans boo as U.S. national anthem is played

Fans booed during the playing of the U.S. national anthem before the New York Islanders' 6-3 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday night.
The sellout crowd of 21,273 at Bell Centre was asked to ''show your support and respect for two great nations'' before the singing of the American and Canadian national anthems.

Four more photos from March20th protest in downtown Portland

I think the Portland Police used shock and awe last night when they broke up the peaceful protest in downtown Portland. I was very frightened as I had never been involved in anything like this. I don't think most people watching this happen on TV or through some other form of media can relate to what it's like to actually be there. Hopefully, this photo I am posting will give others a bettr understading.

Cop car almost runs over protester

I caught this series of photos at NW 2nd and Couch. A protester tried to blockade the intersection as we marched down 2nd, but a cop car took no mercy in almost running him over. While he did have a "shield," this would be no protection from the wheels of the car, had he actually been run over. This cop hardly slowed down at all - if the protester hadn't gotten out of the way at the very end, he would have been killed. (article 1)

Initial shots of March 20, 2003 Protest

I have roughly 60 pictures and small 30 second videos of the march starting from the plaza, all the way to I-84 shutdown, until the point I got seperated by the police from the crowd crossing back into downtown. While there was not even 1% of the protest crowd being unruly (McDonald's window, some tagging and kicking of cars), I give the cops credit for only about 1% of them being confrontational.

I recommend that anyone interested in examining the series of 8 pictures of citizens lying down on Interstate 5 I recommend visit my web site instead of viewing the pictures here. The way you have to click in and out of them here makes it impossible to follow the sequence of events. I only put them up here so that Indymedia has access to them.

VA budget cuts no surprise to this Vet

No surprise to me- I just got my GA (state disability income)& Oregon Health Plan terminated.
There's a bomb out there, with my benefits in it, about to literally to up in smoke.
The VA will be additionally burdened when casualties are sent there, because the military hospitals are filled up.
Feel free to use the enclosed graphics for signs, etc.
This is my contribution to the cause.

The 'human shields' have been sending back snap shots of the people of Baghdad. Now a rare chance to actually see those the American taxpayer will be party to slaughtering. "There will not be a safe place in Baghdad. The sheer size of this has never been seen before, never been contemplated before." Unnamed Pentagon Official. "You have this simultaneous effect, rather like the nuclear weapons at Hiroshima, not taking days or weeks but in minutes." Harlan Ullman, one of the authors of the Shock and Awe concept.
