A guide to a new context for individual creativity
(A primer on how "very deep practical creativity" is related to math at an elementary level)
A new description of existence, far superior to the descriptions of the authorities, and the new description is based on simple shapes and elementary calculus, it is a new context which describes the properties of stable systems in a general and precise manner.
Its new context is expansive, and geometric.

A clearer focus on the evils of math and science (or how a corrupt society uses them)
The math content displayed by the academics... , though characterized by great complication... , seems quite thin, because it has become unrelated to "practical" creative development, and the stable and fundamental systems of: the nucleus, the crystal and the solar system still go without valid descriptions (calculations) based on what is claimed to be physical law, ie the patterns of colliding elementary-particles, the function space models of general quantum systems, general relativity, etc.

Keep Portland White!
There is an element of truth to the ["Keep Portland Weird"] sentiment: to friends who suffer the ignominy of existing in California or New York, I live in hipster Valhalla: a happily ironic place where vegan food carts abound and localvore beer flows from repurposed fixtures. It's a place where young creatives commute by fixie bikes, towing babies or dogs to careers involving DIY charcuterie, vintage buttons or recycled wooden paneling.

Not that I'm harassed for my "interesting" (as one library user put it) looks, but quite the opposite: I am constantly celebrated for being an official person of color.

People obey the propaganda system and believe the authority it conveys, yet they rebel from its destructive oppression of the oligarchy, yet they dismiss (or ignore) fully expressed alternative ideas which are given fuller expression than is given to the authoritative science and math ideas which come from the institutions of oligarchy, and whose authority (with the public) can be attributed to its emergence from the propaganda system.

Charismatic Megafauna- wolf reintroduction film with live musical accompaniment
I have a new flick at The Hollywood Theatre presented as part of the Sound and Vision Fest and The EFF Fest, the new experimental film festival in Portland
This is a new piece I made, Charismatic Megafauna.
It is 50 minutes long and consists of footage that was shot by biologists during the wolf capture (in Canada) and reintroduction in to the USA in the mid 90's. There also is 16mm footage that I shot when I lived in Chicago in the early 80's with a wolfdog.
This piece gives you a behind the scenes look at the reintroduction.

Ecotopia, Ernest Callenbach --final document found on his computer
from tom dispatch ...
Just days later, his long-time literary agent Richard Kahlenberg wrote me that Chick had left a final document on his computer, something he had been preparing in the months before he knew he would die, and asked if TomDispatch would run it. Indeed, we would. It's not often that you hear words almost literally from beyond the grave -- and eloquent ones at that, calling on all Ecotopians, converted or prospective, to consider the dark times ahead. Losing Chick's voice and his presence is saddening. His words remain, however, as do his books, as does the possibility of some version of the better world he once imagined for us all. Tom

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo: Alternative Movie Review
Predictable lamestream media reviewers had little to say about how The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is rife with current political, sociological, technological and religious implications. The movie is about a 24-year-old, gothic-punk-looking, cyberspace hacker, with an issue with men who have histories or sexual or violent predation. She is on a mission to right the world of a few rapists and killers. This is not a standard movie review. Plenty reviews already exist on the Internet for you to get the gist of the story and its characters. This critique is strictly in regards to the movie and is more about interesting political and social commentary in relation to the movie and some of its reviews.

Return of People's Cinema
This Friday marks the triumphant return of B Media's People's Cinema, a wildly popular film series that we held three times a week at the Chapman Park occupation during October. People's Cinema will now be a part of Occupy Portland's Arts and Entertainment Night in collaboration with OP's Arts and Entertainment Committee and TUPAC at St Francis Church Fridays from 7-9 PM, check Occupy Portland's website to see exactly when we'll be showing.

People's Cinema looks to highlight historical and contemporary films and short videos that are socially conscious, artistically legitimate and most importantly crowd pleasing, with political education and crowd discussion as our desired goal. We also want to make the series as participatory as possible and want suggestions from the audience about other films we need to know about so we can compile a publicly accessible list of great radical films and show some of them as the series goes on.

what Michele Bachmann could learn in a Fishbone moshpit‏
When Questlove of The Roots chose to introduce Michele Bachmann's appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon with a few chords from punk band Fishbone's "Lyin' Ass Bitch," he was going for an easy joke. But true Fishbone fans, while elated that the fading, three-decade-old band was experiencing a pop cultural revival (and new dowloads) were also aware that "Lyin' Ass Bitch" was one of the less political songs of an extremely political band.

Saladify! A New Food Preparation Movement
No, we are not just talking more kinds of salad. Rather this "neo" verb means putting salad ingredients into foodstuffs that normally do "not" have much in the way of "raw" salad items in them—thus we will be combining raw nutrition power with tasty cooked flavors and textures. Imagine your next bowl of chili (either traditional or veggie) as "saladified". After you prepare your favorite traditional chili, as you shut the stove off (being still hot), stir in fresh, chopped onion, garlic, spinach, tomato, celery, cilantro, (maybe a little jalapeno), and maybe grated cheddar cheese. Now you have more colors! more textures! more flavors! higher ratio of vegetable mass! (and higher levels of nutrients and live enzymes). Doesn't that bring a smile to your heart? It should. After all aren't you just a little bored with the traditional same old same—even if it is classic? Saladify my friend. Saladify your chili and you will be glad you did!
