Hay Bales are not Habitat! Comments on Wild Bison "management" plan due Friday January 13
Comment on Montana's Proposed Management Changes for Wild Bison in the Gardiner Basin

Comments Due by January 13, 2012

The state of Montana is accepting public comments on their Draft Joint Environmental Assessment Adaptive Management Adjustments to the Interagency Bison Management Plan. Sound like a bureaucratic mouthful? It is a proposal to intensify livestock-model management of the last continuously wild population of American buffalo, within the Gardiner Basin, north of Yellowstone National Park. Montana's plans are being touted to the public as a step towards more tolerance and habitat for wild buffalo in Montana, however, BFC's initial review of the draft Environmental Assessment reveals that mismanagement techniques - including capture, confinement, dangerous vaccination, artificial feeding, test-and-slaughter, quarantine, scientific research and increased hunting - would be profoundly escalated.

City police policy in Harrisburg PA on lost dogs: Kill it, Adopt it, or Dump it
It's a bad time to be a dog in the city of Harrisburg PA.

Slip the leash, get lost or — worse — abandoned, and a dog faces summary execution or extraordinary rendition to some remote corner of Dauphin County.

People of Harrisburg should beware.

"Keep your dogs inside — don't risk them getting lost, If it gets lost, you're going to find out real quickly how bad this is."

According to an internal police department memo, officers have three options when responding to a dog complaint: Kill it, adopt it or dump it.

Pat Wadsworth learned firsthand on New Year's Eve.

Primate Abuse At University Of California Furthered By Senator Dianne Feinstein's Husband
Senator Dianne Feinstein, war profiteer, insider trader, is head of the US Senate Intelligence Committee, from which she has funneled over 1 billion dollars in military contracts to her husband Richard Blum and continued her lifetime career in promoting the illegal wars of the US government.
Ms Feinstein, dual citizen of the US and Israel, is also a hawk who pressures for the bombing of Iran. Her husband is also on the Board of Overseers of the University of California. Dianne Feinstein's husband Richard Blum, co-architect of the AETA law which criminalizes 1st amendment rights of animal protectors, has also voted by neglect for brutal conditions in UC's vivisection labs throughout the state including UC Davis, UCSF, UCSB, UCLA etc. Blum was in addition one of those responsible for pressuring the Oakland and San Francisco police... as they brutally removed Occupy participants and ripped apart tents and other property
