According to the 9/11 Commission Report, which is now known to have been an exercise in obfuscation and creative writing, the cockpit voice recorders and flight data recorders, or "black boxes" (in fact, they are bright orange) from American Airlines Flight 11 and United Flight 175 were never found in the rubble of the World Trade Center at Ground Zero in Manhattan. That conclusion, according to knowledgeable sources involved in the debris recovery operations at the Fresh Kills land fill on Staten Island, is only partially correct. In fact, the sources claim that the black boxes were recovered from World Trade Center debris that was removed by barges from Manhattan to Fresh Kills.

On Tuesday 26th February, Europarlementarian Guilietto Chiesa invited his colleagues and the press to attend the screening and debate of the Italian-produced documentary named 'ZERO', an investigation into the events of 9/11. Object of the screening was to create political awareness of the faulty official investigation into the events by the 9/11 Commission. Besides Mr Chiesa, the panel consisted of Japanese parlementarian Fujita, Dr David Ray Griffin, film distributor Tim Sparke & the director and producers of the film.
There was little chance that the 9/11 Commission was going to establish the full truth. One reason why: Its Executive Director, the Neocon-loving Philip D. Zelikow, had his own agenda, to wit: protecting the interest of the Bush-Cheney Gang and linking "Al-Qaeda to Iraq." Zelikow had previously written a book with Condi Rice, authored a paper used to justify the preemptive attack on Iraq and worked on Bush's presidential transition team in 2000/2001.

January 9, 2008 Stomping Freedom Inside the Martial Law Act of 2006 By JAMES BOVARD Martial law is perhaps the ultimate stomping of freedom. And yet, on September 30, 2006, Congress passed a provision in a 591-page bill that will make it easy for President Bush to impose martial law in response to a terrorist "incident." It also empowers him to effectively declare martial law in response to what he or other federal officials label a shortfall of "public order" -- whatever that means. It took only a few paragraphs in a $500 billion, 591-page bill to raze one of the most important limits on federal power. Congress passed the Insurrection Act in 1807 to severely restrict the president's ability to deploy the military within the United States. The Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 tightened those restrictions, imposing a two-year prison sentence on anyone who used the military within the United States without the express permission of Congress. (This act was passed after the depredations of the U.S. military throughout the Southern states during Reconstruction.) But there is a loophole: Posse Comitatus is waived if the president invokes the Insurrection Act.

"Bin Laden" showed up yet again last week to help out the Bush Administration on the eve of the important Iowa presidential caucus vote. Now a November 2007 Benazir Bhutto interview with BBC's David Frost has surfaced in which Bhutto claims that Bin Laden is dead. Already, Duke University Bin Laden expert, Bruce Lawrence, stated two years ago that he believed Bin Laden was likely dead. Nevertheless, BBC chose to withhold this information and mislead the public by deleting this part of Bhutto's statement. Bin Laden has been a very useful Boogieman to the New World Order, and it's hard to give up a great story.
Mid-December, I was doing the 10 minute walk at the end of my commute to work, and I noticed some traffic of the stop/go variety. Though not unordinary, I took particular note of a yellow school bus with maybe 15 windows of kids peering out. In a fit of creativity, I saw that image as a metaphor for the nation trusting that the ostensible "adult" leadership of the Bush Administration is working to achieve what is in the best interests of the country and the world. The naive, trusting eyes looking out the windows of the yellow school bus showed not cynicism, but a complete faith that the adults in charge have their interests at heart.
Of course it's insulting to intelligent people, but according to 'Breaking News' from the Jewish Telegraph Agency today, dead Osama bin Laden has made another tape in his grave, and now again 'threatens to destroy Israel'. Last time he had nukes too...
