Bush Asked For Blair's Help To Oust Saddam On September 20, 2001
George Bush asked for Tony Blair's backing to remove Saddam Hussein from power just nine days after the 11 September attacks, over a private dinner at the White House, a US magazine reported last night.

In a 25,000-word article in this month's American edition of Vanity Fair, former British ambassador to Washington Sir Christopher Meyer recounts Mr Bush as responding: "I agree with you Tony. We must deal with this [ousting the Taliban and "restoring peace in Afghanistan"] first. But when we have dealt with Afghanistan, we must come back to Iraq." According to Sir Christopher - also seated at the dinner table that evening - Mr Blair "said nothing to demur" at the prospect.

The other event that will occur between May and October is a second engineered terrorist attack in the US, coordinated by the security apparatus under Bush, similar in magnitude to 9-11, designed to terrify the US public into ceding more authority to Bush and electing him based upon a state of national emergency.

Ask pompous partial-minded SCALIA: "Did you talk to Cheney on the plane, then? Answer!"
Stop Scalia's Rush to Judgement.... REGARDING:

CHENEY v. UNITED STATES DIST. COURT FOR D. C.
Memorandum of SCALIA, J.

MY SUBMISSION TO THE E-COURT OF OPINION: Scalia's denial of two different cases for his recusal (refusal to be a judge in a case where there is a conflict of interest) relies on a personal self-testimony of his honor, and nothing more substantial than that. So read Scalia in his own words, and remember his alibi if something comes up. Of course the Judge's 'honor' has already been suspect and proven to be suspect ever since the 2000 decision that revealed conflict of interest where Scalia made a statement to the effect in the press that further counting of the Florida vote would be a danger to the Bush candidacy. Second, we have the 5-4 SCOTUS decision where Scalia was part of the 'gang of five'--and through the case he was feeding the Bush legal team recommended ways of arguing (while seated above them on the bench!). Third, we have the (unconstitutional) selecting of an ex-male cheerleader of Yale Univerity, George W. Bush, as the presidential candiadate to win Florida without counting votes, even though the Supreme Court basically gave themselves the right to do so when there is nothing in the Constitution to the effect that allows federal courts to decide state elections--much less stop them, or decide them regardless of the vote!

Throughout in other words, conflict of interest has been proven in the past related to the Bush/Cheney ticket, and can only influence everything to come. THANK YOU YOUR HONORS FOR HEARING THIS PLEA. THE GUILLOTINE AWAITS YOU, RIGHT THIS WAY YOU TOTAL BASTARDS.

the tone of this piece is all wrong too - just an "equal time for Bush" or some such bullshit, while simultaneously pointing the finger at another glaringly obvious flaw in the official 9-11 fairy tale.

also expecting citizens not to ask the real questions: just let the Boston Herald define the "Clarke vs. Bush" parameters for you.

Found: The 911 "Stand Down Order"?
Jim Hoffman has discovered a document which I believe may be very important to the 911 skeptic movement. This document superseded earlier DOD procedures for dealing with hijacked aircraft, and it requires that Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld is personally responsible for issuing intercept orders. Commanders in the field are stripped of all authority to act. This amazing order came from S.A. Fry (Vice Admiral, US Navy and Director, Joint Staff) so it appears to me that responsibility for the US armed forces "Failure to Respond" rests directly with Fry for issuing this instruction, as well as with Donald Rumsfeld for failing to execute his responsibility to issue orders in a timely fashion.

Faux Journalism is the White House's New Ally
No fake news story has become more embedded in our culture than the administration's account of its actions on Sept. 11. As The Wall Street Journal reported on its front page this week - just as the former counterterrorism chief Richard Clarke was going public with his parallel account - many of this story's most familiar details are utter fiction. Bush's repeated claim that one of his "first acts" of that morning was to put the military on alert is false. So are the president's claims that he watched the first airplane hit the World Trade Center on television that morning. (No such video yet existed.) Nor was Air Force One under threat as Bush flew around the country, delaying his return to Washington.

Yet the fake narrative of Sept. 11 has been scrupulously maintained by the White House for more than two years. Although the administration has tried at every juncture to stonewall the Sept. 11 investigative commission, its personnel, including the president, had all the time in the world for the producer of a TV movie, Showtime's "DC 9/11: Time of Crisis" The result was a scenario that further rewrote the history of that day, stirring steroids into false tales of presidential derring-do. To shore up the Karl Rove version of Sept. 11 once Richard Clarke went public with his alternative tale on last Sunday's "60 Minutes," the White House placed Condoleezza Rice on all five morning news shows the next day. The administration is confident that it can reinstate its bogus scenario - particularly given that Rice, unlike Clarke, is refusing to take the risk of reciting it under oath to the Sept. 11 commission.

The Line
Rogue journalist Hunter S. Thompson, in a Rolling Stone article from July 4 1973 titled 'Fear and Loathing in Washington: The Boys in the Bag,' described the looming sense of doomed finality which surrounded the Nixon White House after the existence of recorded Oval Office conversations became exposed. The Nixon White House had tried everything to that point to fend off the Watergate scandal: They denied everything, then tried to pay off the central figures, then fired a bunch of people, denied everything again, and finally released edited transcripts of the White House tapes in an effort to stem the tide that was about to flood them out of power.

"There are a hundred or more people wandering around Washington today," wrote Thompson, "who have heard the 'real stuff,' as they put it - and despite their professional caution when the obvious question arises, there is one reaction they all feel free to agree on: that nobody who felt shocked, depressed or angry after reading the edited White House transcripts should ever be allowed to hear the actual tapes, except under heavy sedation or locked in the trunk of a car. Only a terminal cynic, they say, can listen for any length of time to the real stuff without feeling a compulsion to do something like drive down to the White House and throw a bag of live rats over the fence."

in 2004, Richard Clarke, Tom Maertens, Roger Cressey, Donald Kerrick, Paul O'Neill, Joseph Wilson, Greg Thielmann, Karen Kwiatkowski and Rand Beers are telling the world about the real stuff. The Bush/Cheney Re-Election Axis is terrified, and the Secret Service detail guarding the White House perimeter might want to cowboy up in preparation for a rain of rat bags coming over that fence.

Bush Adviser Zelikow: Iraq War Launched to Protect Israel
Philip Zelikow, who is now the executive director of the the 9/11 commission, suggests that a prime motive for the Iraq invasion just over one year ago was to eliminate a threat to Israel: Washington's biggest ally in the Middle East, receiving annual direct aid of three to four billion dollars.

"Why would Iraq attack America or use nuclear weapons against us? I'll tell you what I think the real threat (is) and actually has been since 1990 -- it's the threat against Israel," Zelikow told a crowd at the University of Virginia on Sep. 10, 2002, speaking on a panel of foreign policy experts assessing the impact of 9/11 and the future of the war on the al-Qaeda terrorist organization.

"And this is the threat that dare not speak its name, because the Europeans don't care deeply about that threat, I will tell you frankly. And the American government doesn't want to lean too hard on it rhetorically, because it is not a popular sell," said Zelikow.

The statements are the first to surface from a source closely linked to the Bush administration acknowledging that the war, which has so far cost the lives of nearly 600 U.S. troops and thousands of Iraqis, was motivated by Washington's desire to defend the Jewish state.

The administration, which is surrounded by staunch pro-Israel, neo-conservative hawks, is currently fighting an extensive campaign to ward off accusations that it derailed the "war on terrorism" it launched after 9/11 by taking a detour to Iraq.

Clarke Challenges Rice To Reveal Secret Emails
In a riveting television performance, Richard Clarke called on his principal critic and former employer, the national security adviser, Condoleezza Rice, to release the entire record of their emails in the months up to the September 11 terror attacks to prove his contention that the White House did not then take the threat of al-Qaida seriously.

He also agreed to Republican demands to declassify testimony he gave to the Senate two years ago - to "prove" there were no inconsistencies. "Let's take all of my emails and all the memos I sent to the national security adviser and her deputy from January 20 to September 11 and let's declassify all of them," Mr Clarke told NBC television.

Mr Clarke's bravura presentation surprised the Bush administration. The decision to stand his ground could also be destructive to Ms Rice.

U.S. Wants Suit on Anthrax Probe Tossed
Government lawyers on Monday contended that Attorney General John Ashcroft named Dr. Steven J. Hatfill a ``person of interest'' in the 2001 anthrax attacks to dampen speculation that the bioterrorism expert was a suspect.

Deputy Assistant Attorney General Jeffrey Bucholtz said ``it's clear the attorney general was trying to downplay'' federal investigators' suspicions that Hatfill sent anthrax-laced envelopes to government and media offices in October 2001.

Hatfill lawyer Mark A. Grannis scoffed at the idea the government was trying to help his client.

``Mr. Ashcroft acted to protect both the department and his own political image at the expense of Dr. Hatfill's constitutional rights,'' Grannis said at a hearing on the government's request that U.S. District Judge Reggie B. Walton throw out Hatfill's suit against Ashcroft and other government officials.

Hatfill claims the officials named him to deflect attention from their inability to find whoever was responsible for the attacks, which killed five people and sickened 17 others. He still is the only publicly named ``person of interest'' in the case.
