A 900-word Op-Ed piece that will soon be published in the Ukiah Daily Journal, Ukiah, CA.

I was talking with the editor about how it was too bad that the media never reports why the protesters are on the street. She offered me 800 words, later renegotiated to 900 words.

Ok to use this where you like for non-profit use. If you do use it, I'd appreciate a note to let me know where.

What may count most, however, is that we may well be the ones Proverbs warns when it reminds us: "Kings take pleasure in honest lips; they value the one who speaks the truth." The point is clear: If the people speak and the king doesn't listen, there is something wrong with the king. If the king acts precipitously and the people say nothing, something is wrong with the people.

Fight the Repeal of the Estate Tax
The Estate Tax is under attack by the Right (who else). The Estate Tax taxes the transfer of wealth upon death of an individual IF THE ACCUMULATED WEALTH IS OVER $1,000,000.
It was designed to help prevent a "landed aristocracy" from developing in US (as they had in Europe).

Look how bad things are WITH the estate tax. Imagine how bad it will be without one.

This tax doesn't effect most of our population, but they are being duped into believing that it's unfair. What's unfair is letting the wealthy off scot-free, while the rest of us foot the bill for this country. The estate tax provides considerable tax revenue to the federal and state governments.

Make those phone calls & send those letters...
Let them pay for their own damn war...

it is your fear that no one will listen and the intimidation by those we allow to control our lives that strengthens the silent code, those with no voice, those at the bottom, shall remain without a voice and shall stay at the bottom. our law enforcement will only be what we want it to be when we tell the truth and nothing but the truth.
those cops who silently condone their brothers wrong doing are wrong and afraid to do the right thing. so it looks like it is all up us, "we the people" to take full responsibility as cizitens and hold our law enforcement, our government what it is suppose to be, 'our government. otherwise my friends we will all be guilty of the next cop crime.

Economic Fascism and Tax Slavery
"With the income tax and Federal Reserve abolished, the American Republic would be reborn. The Founders' vision would once more be a magnificent part of human history. We as a people would once again be free. This will not be easy; it will require all our efforts, both intellectual and activist, pulling together with every ounce of courage we can muster. But when the tide has finally changed, and America is brought back to her rightful form of government, the sense of reward will be unimaginable"

Americans must lose sheepishness about 9/11
Reality has a way of correcting misconceptions, so on May 11, al-Qaida reared its ugly head and struck three housing compounds of the Vinnell Corporation.

Vinnell's history includes being owned by The Carlyle Group, and it has had contracts with the Pentagon since the 1950s. This company trains mercenaries in various regions of the globe. It has recruited, trained and supplied a group of people whom we would consider terrorists. Vinnell has been paid more than $800 million by our government since 1994 for "training and construction."
