California’s Unemployment at 60 Year High, at Depression Levels
The news out of Washington is suggesting that the bottom of the economic decline is here, and last week, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke stated that the "economy is leveling out;" however, the people with the Peace and Freedom Party, based in California, is dismissing the Federal Reserve report as propaganda that will only benefit Wall Street.

An interview with Andrew Flood about the impressions of the North American anarchist movement he formed during his 2007/2008 44 city tour of the US and Canada. The interviews ends with questions about the comparison of the movement in Ireland with that in Britian and the promotion of anarchism via the internet. This was submitted and published in Black Flag.

Has the First Shoe Dropped Yet?

The phrase "still waiting for the other shoe to drop" usually evokes images of something happening so satisfying and desirable we can't help but wonder when the yang of the present yin will emerge. Those who elected for President Obama and the Democratic majority did so believing in change . It was believed believed much of what was promised would be followed through on. Among those things were stable guidance through what we knew would be a painful economic recovery, but also closure to the pain of the previous administration's taking their position for granted. We were all searching for the best way to tie up the loose ends of the past eight years. We wanted to be assured that which seemed so out of character for our country would not be repeated and that we could move forward now.

Ducks Flying the Pacific Flyway, our Fancy Brothers

Millions of ducks, geese and swans travel the Pacific Flyway, a road in the sky that leads from Canada through Washington, Oregon, and California, and inland through Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. These birds are shot down in the millions also. Instead of shooting them, we should lay down the weapons and help them to live on the earth, that we share with them.

World Bankers Agree: The Recession is Over…Maybe
Few would consider the opinions of the world's central bankers to be unbiased or even accurate. These self-proclaimed wise men of international finance didn't see the recession coming until it blew up in their faces - a blast that destroyed their credibility.
Nevertheless, it is interesting to hear them talk, not because they're fun to listen to, but because of "the messaging" that rich investors use religiously in placing their stock market bets, while the rest of us are given a calming sermon, so that the bankers' lackeys - the politicians - may continue ruining the country uncontested.

Sometimes when Zerzan goes to conferences, he comes back and goes on his radio show and says it was a waste of time, the conference was a bunch of liberal reformists who didn't even want to hear what he had to say. That was not his reaction to the Jesus Radical Conference.

G.I. Typical of Hollywood-type action movies, the plot centers around preventing the bad guys from attaining global dominance. G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, like another summer blockbuster, Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen, is one of many movies that promotes militarism and by extension imperialism.

A Cure for an Ailing Economy: Taxing the Rich
Healthcare isn't the only social ill in the U.S. that needs a serious remedy. When a country is in as much debt as the U.S., - $12 trillion and counting — the tasks at hand seem all but unachievable.
