A new brand of journalism is taking root in South Korea
OhmyNews is transforming the 20th century's journalism-as-lecture model, where organizations tell the audience what the news is and the audience either buys it or doesn't, into something vastly more bottom-up, interactive and democratic.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer: Active Political Resistance as an Obligation of Faith
The theologian and martyr Dietrich Bonhoeffer is the highest name in Germany. As a leader of the underground Confessing Church, Bonhoeffer emphasized the nonreligious interpredtation of the Bible, religionless Christianity and the arcanum discipline. One act of obedience may be more important than a thousand sermons, he said. Bonhoeffer understood political resistance as an obligation of faith..The church could be commanded to "fall into the spokes of the wheel", not only "to bind up the victims under the wheel".

Don't Go Out At Night
I was travelling into the Shia Muslim Iraqi city of Nasiriyah on Friday evening when three American soldiers jumped in front of my car. "Stop the car, stop the car!" one of them shouted, waving a pistol at the windscreen. "You should have seen our checkpoint," he snapped, then added: "Have a good stay in Nasiriyah but don't go out after dark. It's not safe."
What he meant, I think, was that it wasn't safe for American soldiers after dark. Hours later, I went out in the streets of Nasiriyah for a chicken burger and the Iraqis who served me in a run-down cafe couldn't have been friendlier.

On the Threshold to the 3rd Millenium: Hope and Misery of the Modern Age
"The progress consciousness encouraged by new scientific discoveries and technical innovations trusted in a beginning without end..The themes of the whole 19th century were progress and evolution, growth and expansion, utopias and revolutions of hope.. No human future can "make up for" the crimes of the past. To live with this past of debris and victims without repressing or repeating them, we need this transcendent hope of the resurrection of the dead.. We can gain the "courage to be" (Tillich)."

Mr. Wolfowitz also discloses that there was one justification that was "almost unnoticed but huge". Since the taking of Baghdad, Washington has said that it is taking its troops out of the kingdom.
