2,500 Coke workers in Colombia ordered to resign or be dismissed

Coca-Cola's main bottler in Latin America, Coca-Cola FEMSA, recently announced plans to close nine bottling plants in Colombia, which could leave 2,500 workers without jobs. The managers halted production at those plants and are pressuring workers to resign from their contracts in exchange for a lump-sum payment-- "voluntary retirement." The workers have been told that if they don't "resign," they will be dismissed.

Almost all of Iraq sold to foreigners
"Iraq is to become a free-market economic laboratory, with levels of foreign ownership and privatization never before seen in the Arab world, its U.S.-appointed government announced Sunday.
The entire Iraqi economy, almost totally state-owned under deposed dictator Saddam Hussein, will be privatized and opened to unlimited foreign investment — with the notable exception of its oil industry, which will remain a state monopoly and part of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries. At least 192 state companies will be sold to foreigners."

National Democratic Front of South Korea Condemns Plot to use Koreans to Kill Arabs!!!
The US pressed by the ever-increasing anti-US resistance of the Iraqi people recently demanded south Korea to dispatch combatant troops to Iraq.
The Iraqi war provoked by the US was an utterly unjust aggressive war motivated by the wicked purpose to overthrow the legitimate government of Hussein and dominate the Middle East region abundant with petrol.
The aggressive war against Iraq unilaterally ignited by the atrocious and brazen-faced US imperialists in disregard to the international law and institutions, plainly exposed the highhanded nature of the US imperialism obsessed with the ambition for world hegemony and aroused strong protest and condemnation even in the US as well as in the entire world.

America Puts Iraq Up For Sale

Iraq was in effect put up for sale yesterday when the American-appointed administration announced it was opening up all sectors of the economy to foreign investors in a desperate attempt to deliver much-needed reconstruction against a daily backdrop of kidnappings, looting and violent death.
Five months after the overthrow of Saddam, there are no visible signs of reconstruction. Clean water and electricity are still not available to most people and entire neighbourhoods are still without phone lines.

Bu$h Questioning Iraq Policies As Poll Numbers Dive

Faced with rising costs, sinking polls, unsympathetic allies, an increasingly skeptical Congress and potential splits in his political party, President Bush has begun to question the hard-line Iraq policies long championed by Vice President Dick Cheney and Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld.
Foreign-policy concerns and domestic politics are prompting the administration to rethink its approach to Iraq, said a number of administration foreign and domestic-policy officials, who all spoke on the condition of anonymity because, as one of them put it, "the president hates seeing internal debates in the paper."
