The Whole World is Marching - the Anti-War Movement
The Whole World is Marching - the Anti-War Movement The most impressive development in all this is that millions of people have come out to protest all over the world before the war has even started. Two million demonstrated in London, 2.5 million in Rome, over a million in Barcelona, over half a million in New York, a quarter of a million in San Francisco, 200,000 in Damascus-the list goes on and the mass radicalization continues apace.

'NO WAR' daubed on Sydney Opera House, guarded 24-7 Police said the incident happened at 8.56am. The intruders were first spotted by security guards on closed circuit TV. Guards called police when they couldn't talk them down.

It is an embarrassment after security was upgraded at the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge last November because of the growing risk of terrorist attack.

Asked whether the protest was worth it, activist David Burgess replied: ``Absolutely it was''.

Police State Terror in Thailand
I am a Portland activist that has been traveling in Southeast Asia for around three months. Recently in Thailand, the Prime Minister with the military elite who run the country have declared an open war against "drug dealers." This war has turned into a terror campaign that has already left over a 1000 people murdered by special police/military death squads, just within a weeks time. There are police and military checkpoints everywhere, searching for the people on the "death list." The military command of Thailand has just closed down the INN news service due to its reporting of the murders.

out of teh shadows- ending the drug war radio story
Activists, legislators, and people from throughout Latin America and the world gathered in Merida, Mexico For the Out of the Shadows conference. The goal of the conference is to construct a vision for peacefully ending the drug war. Although the reasons stated for legalizing drugs varied from person to person depending on their background, there was one point of comon ground--the war on drugs is not working and it does more harm than good. KBOOs Andrew Stelzer has the story.
