Northern Rock,GB:Republican 'Libertarian' Ron Paul Lied About Naked Short Selling
Dear SEC, I was only beginning to organize my thoughts about the Republican 'Libertarian' Ron Paul's statements re SHO to the SEC,(U.S Securities Exchange Commission),that were only recently posted here. However no sooner was I getting over the shock that Mr.Ron Paul was aiding the fraudulent penny stock naked shorting claim of his well heeled Libertarian pals such as the NTU founder James Dale Davidson, Porter Stansberry,Bill Bonner,et.al.,than 'news' came out of England that Northern Rock was a victim of 'naked short selling' as well.......

Strikes in France: The workers must take the struggle into their own hands!
Seldom has trade-union unity been so great in the country: almost all the trade unions, including the most collaborationist, call for an indefinite strike at the SNCF, because of the determination and combativeness of the workers!
But what objective does this united leadership set for the struggle to come? In 1995 the objective was clear: total withdrawal of the Prime Minister Juppé plan against the pensions. Today what is the objective of this trade-union unity?
Total withdrawal of the new attack against the pensions?

Venezuela: counterrevolution raises its head
In Venezuela the forces of the counterrevolution are engaged in an all-out offensive against Chavez and the Revolution. Right-wing students stage armed provocations on the campuses and the streets. The bourgeois media, nationally and internationally, are whipping up a campaign of hysteria against "tyranny" and "dictatorship". US imperialism, with the help of Juan Carlos and the Spanish bourgeoisie, is striving to isolate Venezuela and create an anti-revolutionary bloc in Latin America, based on Brazil and Colombia, Chile and Argentina.
As on previous occasions - the coup of 2002, the bosses' lockout, the recall referendum and the elections of 2005 and 2006, the reactionaries are using the slogan of supposed "defence of democracy" as a means of mobilizing the counterrevolutionary forces, creating a climate of fear and instability in order to prepare the ground for a right-wing coup.
In the present battle who is opposed to the reform of the Constitution? Fedecamara, that is, the landlords, bankers and capitalists, the Episcopal Conference, representing the reactionary hierarchy of the Church, the right-wing media and imperialism. On the other side of the barricades are the workers and peasants, the poor and dispossessed, the revolutionary youth and the progressive intelligentsia: in other words, all the living forces of Venezuelan society.

US war machine's next target: Pakistan
In the midst of public statements of support for "democracy" in Pakistan and the recent visit to Islamabad by the American envoy John Negroponte, Washington is quietly preparing for a stepped-up military intervention in the crisis-ridden country.
According to the New York Times Monday, plans have been drawn up by the US military's Special Operations Command for deploying Special Forces troops in Pakistan's frontier regions for the purpose of training indigenous militias to combat forces aligned with the Taliban and Al Qaeda.
Citing unnamed military officials, the newspaper reports that the proposal would "expand the presence of military trainers in Pakistan, directly finance a separate tribal paramilitary force that until now has proved largely ineffective and pay militias that agreed to fight Al Qaeda and foreign extremists."

State Dept. Official, Brother Queried On Blackwater
Rep. Henry Waxman decided to call State Department Inspector General Howard Krongard and his brother A.B. "Buzzy" Krongard to the same hearing after they separately gave the committee conflicting accounts about Buzzy Krongard's ties with Blackwater, which protects U.S. diplomats and other State Department officials in Iraq. Waxman said in the memo sent to his committee members. "The information from Buzzy Krongard raises serious questions about the veracity of Howard Krongard's testimony before the committee. To help answer these questions, I expect the committee to hold a hearing immediately after the Thanksgiving recess at which Howard Krongard and Buzzy Krongard will be invited to testify."

Ignore these fellow human beings at your peril! Overt and Covert attacks caught on video
Indigenous "canadian" folks have been under attack for a long time --not to say nothing of indigenous folks from everywhere else. Apparently unlike in other places tho, video documentation has come to light showing incorrigible examples of the ways these fellow human beings are betrayed and made war on by persons acting in official capacities. Even when they engage in the methods of the invading state (often at the behest of well-intending settlers who believe in their system), and get laws on their side, they and their lands are attacked systematically in often most underhanded ways. Such truths are certainly a sample of what is likely to come, for *all* --including settlers, unless we understand these realities and help stop their unhindered continuance.

Pakistan - Which way forward?
With the unleashing of a new wave of state terror after the imposition of martial law in the name of a state of emergency, the Musharraf dictatorship has shown its true colours. There has been brutal repression. Thousands of political and trade union activists have been arrested. Women workers have been severely beaten in front of the TV cameras. Trade unions have been further crushed and along with the state oppression there has been an avalanche of price hikes, and increase in poverty and unemployment - all as a direct result of the policies of the present regime.
At the same time the imposition of a state of emergency has further exposed the contradictions and conflicts within the state itself. The condition of the regime is so fragile and desperate that the Supreme Court, which in fact was trying to vent the wrath of the masses arising from the blundering and disastrous policies of the government, could not be tolerated by Musharraf and was dismissed. Through judicial activism, the Supreme Court was acting as a safety valve to preserve the existing order. The act of attacking the judiciary was in reality a self-inflicting wound for a crisis-ridden state. Most dictators in history enter a state of megalomania and madness on the eve of their demise. Cut off from reality, besieged in their echelons of power, they enter into the realm of insanity. Musharraf is no different; he is suffering from the psychosis of indispensability.

Currently in Austria the number of deportations is increasing. The forced deportations of "well-integrated" families has provoked particular outrage. In this way numerous people are deported, although entire towns demand their right to stay.
