Guess Who Was Lying about North Korea's 'Weapons of Mass Destruction'?
During the recent 6 way talks involving North Korea and its nukes , there were much hyped Corporate Media reports suggsting that North Korea had announced that it would test its nukes in the near future. Now it seems that these reports were not true. Surprise. Surprise. This is the same Pattern of Deception and Lies the corporate Media and the USA in general used to manipulate and lie about Iraq's mythical "Weapons of Mass Destruction" in the run up to the invasion, the same type of Lies that were spwed about the Iraq invasion itself from the non-exist surrender of the Iraqi 51st mechanized division to Saving Pvt. The earth is warmer now than it has been at any time in the past 2,000 years, the most comprehensive study of climatic history has revealed.

Confirming the worst fears of environmental scientists, the newly published findings are a blow to sceptics who maintain that global warming is part of the natural climatic cycle rather than a consequence of human industrial activity.

Bush Requests $65 Billion for Corporate Rape of Iraq
Psssssst, kid! Wanna see my WAR BUDGET? That isn't his education budget, that will be the US taxpayers' tab for the continuing Bush Iraq fiasco.

The Republican looting of the US Treasury is now exceeding over half a TRILLION dollars for this year alone. Most of the new Iraq money will likely make its way back into the pockets of Bush supporters, and Republican leaning corporations in the US. Sensing that Bush and his administration are a cabal of warmongering criminals who can be trusted only to line their own pockets, France and Germany say they would only contribute to a fund NOT in US control (see below).

This reads like a transparent editorial from a biased corporate newspaper - what a joke. Common Dreams has become one of the Dean-pimps, pushing anything about Dean in our faces regardless of the superficiality of the actual piece. Will this be in the other Dean-pimp publications too now? In Alternet, the Progressive, the Nation? Try writing an article like this about Kucinich and see if any of these will publish it. Good luck.

Executive Order 13315: the Official Looting of Iraq
Executive order 13315, which Bush signed on 8/28/03, was published in the Federal Register today 9/3/03. It expands upon executive order 13303, and appears to be an asset grab under the guise of funding the Iraqi reconstruction, placing Iraq's state assets under control of the U.S. Treasury: in effect, the official looting of Iraq. Very convenient for a government which seeks to hand over control of Iraq to UN peacekeepers. This executive order has had zero corporate media coverage as of today.

CORPORATE WARRIORS: US's 'Private Army' Grows
former presidential candidate/current hostage Ingrid Betancourt on Colombian TV Contractors are performing "the entire spectrum of military services," says Peter Singer, an analyst at the Brookings Institution in Washington and author of the new book, "Corporate Warriors," about the growth of the privatized military. He says US civilians in conflicts around the world do everything from handling mail services and feeding troops to training foreign troops and devising war games. Most are retired military personnel or former special forces.

Mr. Singer says nearly 10,000 private military contractors are currently working in Iraq, training a new Iraqi military, protecting the Baghdad and Basra airports, and feeding and housing US troops.

Facing The Truth About Iraq
THE WAR IS LOST. By most measures of what the Bush administration forecast for its adventure in Iraq, it is already a failure. The war was going to make the Middle East a more peaceful place. It was going to undercut terrorism. It was going to show the evil dictators of the world that American power is not to be resisted. It was going to improve the lives of ordinary Iraqis. It was going to stabilize oil markets. The American army was going to be greeted with flowers. None of that happened.

The DIRECT Connection Between Zionism and Nazism
The Haavara Agreement was a pact between the Nazis and Zionists regarding Jewish emigration from Germany during the 1930's. It is the only contract between an official Third Reich authority and a Zionist organization. This agreement is considered to have benefited the interests of both parties. Haavara was intended to promote both the emigration of German Jews and the export of German products to Palestine.
As a result of the Agreement, German exports arrived in Palestine at bargain prices with the help of Jewish capital and Jewish commerical assistance. The Agreement also made it possible to settle a large number of German Jews in Palestine. Goods worth a total of 139.5 million Reichsmark were transferred by 1939. Only the outbreak of war in September 1939 ended the transfer practice.

Two American soldiers were killed on Sunday in a 90-minute battle in neighboring Paktika Province, culminating a week of fighting that was the fiercest in months, the Pentagon said. It said dozens of Taliban were killed, as were nine Afghan soldiers. To date, 35 U.S. soldiers have been killed in action in Afghanistan.

Neoconservatism has more complex roots than just the ideas of Leo Strauss, but it's hard to ignore the uncanny similarities between Straussian thought and the decisions emanating from the Bush administration, where many of the neoconservatives in charge of foreign policy were taught by Strauss or his students.
