Iran-Contra Band Is Back Together
Taken collectively, what these officials describe and what is already on the public record suggest the existence of a disciplined network of zealous, like-minded individuals centered in Undersecretary of Defense for Policy Douglas Feith's office and around Richard Perle in the DPB and operating with the approval of Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz, Pentagon chief Donald Rumsfeld, and Vice President Dick Cheney.

Impeachment Is Not Enough
By now its clear to everyone, that Bush lied to congress about weapons of mass destruction. He lied to the American people. He had aides lie to the Untied Nations. He lied about the connection between Iraq and bin Laden. He lied about Nigeria. He lied about chemical and biological weapons. He lied about the underlying reasons to wage war. He lied blaming others for his lies. He lied about his staff; they are all a bunch of convicted felons and retreads from his daddy's administration. He lied and good men died because he lied.

Iraqis may not reap benefits of oil

In Ron Gold's [Petroleum Industry Research Foundation] study, which used World Bank data gauging a nation's openness, honesty and lawfulness, he found that 58 percent of the world's known oil reserves are in countries that ranked in the bottom quarter of at least one of the three categories.
And, nearly half of the oil the United States imported during the first three months of this year came from 11 of the 12 low-ranking countries, Gold said.

Human Salamanders in WTC!
Interesting fact that Feds are witholding evidence demonstrating that the fires in the WTC were under control and none too hot, since firefighters were in the 78th floor minutes before the collapse. Another pathetic attempt by Condoleeza Rice to justify American Imperialism around the world by accusing critics of US foreign policy of being "racist." The Rise of an Anti-American Army in Iraq

Thousands have responded to the call by Hojatoleslam Moqtada al-Sadr, most of them from this fetid slum known as Sadr City, where unemployment is high and crime is rife, a breeding ground for discontent and disenchantment against their American "liberators."
Mohammed Abbas, 27, who signed up two weeks ago at the office of the Arasul mosque, said: "God willing, this army will get rid of the Americans, the Israelis and the infidels." He is one of many in the neighborhood aligned with Mr. al-Sadr. He returned yesterday with a group whom he had urged to join. "All Shias should do this because we must be ready to defend ourselves against our enemies."

Protect the 'Serengetis of the sea' before it's too late
Not too long ago, scientists believed the oceans were so vast they were essentially immune to the destructive activities of humankind. No matter what we did to the land, we imagined that the sea would remain a pristine and bountiful resource.
A series of studies published over the past two years has shattered that naive belief. Scientists have identified "rainforests" under the oceans where biological diversity is at its greatest. And these wildlife hotspots should be preserved to give the marine environment a chance of recovering from decades of over-exploitation.
