Peterson, chief of staff for Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, was given the prestigious award for his leadership of coalition forces, which included a large number of Royal Navy sailors and marines, in the campaign to secure Iraqi oil assets during the onset of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003.
"This is an outstanding award, and it means a lot to me," said Peterson, who can now officially put 'OBE' after his name. "It's an honor [to wear it on behalf of] the many fine Royal Navy sailors and marines that I served with."

Perhaps the most incendiary paragraph in the essay [The Israel Lobby] - albeit one whose contents have been confirmed in the Israeli press - discusses Israel's pressure on the United States to invade Iraq. "Israeli intelligence officials had given Washington a variety of alarming reports about Iraq's WMD programmes," the two academics write, quoting a retired Israeli general as saying: "Israeli intelligence was a full partner to the picture presented by American and British intelligence regarding Iraq's non-conventional capabilities."

We call on the US administration to take the bold step of opening a direct dialogue with the Iranian government on the issue of Iran's nuclear program.
Summary of the KBOO am news for Friday, April 28th, 2006.
Christianity today has become a misleading term and a very confusing 'business'. Proclaiming one's faith as 'Christian' no longer identifies the believer in a specific sense - there are more Christian denominations, groups and sub-groups than I would care to mention. Gone is the 'one faith', 'one God' principle that identifies all true religions; today there are 'gelicos, penticos, charismaticos, deicos, bapticos, methicos' and on it goes. The 'religion' is severely fragmented, each splintered faction claiming divine authority and status as the true religion (a perfectly absurd situation).
The US media refuses to acknowledge that Iran plans on opening it's Oil exchange up in EUROS beginning next week. The sanctions being placed on Iran through the UN will outlaw countries from using this market, thus keeping the US' stranglehold on the oil markets who have traded solely in the US dollar up until now. US would lose $1 Trillion a year if this market is opened.
A series of opinion polls released in recent weeks have shown a massive increase in popular opposition to the Bush administration. The US president's approval rating has dropped to barely one third, on a par with that of Richard Nixon on the eve of his resignation over the Watergate scandal.
The latest results published Thursday were from a poll conducted by the Wall Street Journal and NBC News, showing only 36 percent of respondents approving of Bush and his policies (compared to 48 percent a year ago). The same poll indicated that 67 percent believe that the US is on "the wrong track." Congress fared even worse in the same poll, receiving only a 22 percent approval rating, and with over one third of those surveyed describing its members as corrupt. These results follow a Fox News/Opinion Dynamics poll that showed the approval rating for Bush falling to 33 percent and for Congress to 25 percent. In its own polling, CNN found an approval rating for Bush of just 32 percent. A Washington Post-ABC News poll, meanwhile, showed only 43 percent approval for Bush in the states where he beat Democratic candidate John Kerry in the 2004 presidential election, and 57 percent disapproving of his performance.

A completely different take on the 'war on terror' and the related erosion of civil rights and democracy. The true target of the 'war on terror' are the younger generation, the protestors and the dissidents, who have filled the oligarches with such fear they are now bringing a police state and destroying civil rights, out of their fear that the contagion is likely to spread, and result in revolution.

Today HLS (LSRi) were dropped off the Pink Sheets after their sole Market Maker Vertical dropped out, hot on the heels of Seaboard dropping out last week - see statement at the bottom. A big thanks and well done to those who have taken part in financial demos in the US, UK and all over the world and anyone who taken part in the email action alerts. We know some of you may wonder about the wisdom of doing companies like Vertical Group's Landlords Murray Hill Properties or Securities Dealing Systems who were important to HLS market Maker Seaboard, but the fact is it works!
This is without doubt Huntingdon's lowest ever trading point and to say that the last 7 months have been a financial disaster for HLS is an understatement. In that time they have gone from being 45 minutes away from trading on the NYSE, being dropped off the OTCBB (Over the Counter Bulletin Board) on to the Pink Sheets and now they have been dropped off the Pink Sheets. As we write this it looks like shares in HLS (LSRi) are not trading anywhere in whole world. Like we say the more HLS crave normality the more abnormal things become for them.
Remember the Enron scandal? It seems small,
now, doesn't it? Billions being bilked from California (and stashed in off-shore accounts) through a bogus energy crisis that we later were privy to emails and tapped phone conversations of. It was so unbelievable at the time.

Continuing story from "Net Neutrality Death or Life of Internet Decided in US Congress NOW, contact info!"
![]() IN FOUR DAYS ALONE, 250,000 CONTACTED CONGRESS, and 600 blogs started writing about it. This led many of the subcommittee members mentioning firestorm of calls and letters they recieved and those still voting to kill net neutrality against the overload were said to be noticably "defensive" in their votes, which can be seen on the video recording of the vote. In four days--versus years of instiutionalized telecom bribery--the gap was closed. People are aware of the seriousness of this. The net neutrality of the Internet is about to die and be transformed into letting private corporations determine all content you view on the internet as well as your accessibilty of content on the internet. Instead of simply passing on what consumers want to see, corprations will determine what limited content is available for you to see, if this passes. --- The full subcommitee of 55-56 (one not even voting!) voted to recommend to kill net neutrality, 43-22. However, from video it was highly contentious for a committee vote and those on camera voting to kill net neutrality showed "a noticable defensiveness" according to ![]()
