KBOO talk radio - Tired, irrelevant and pointless?
Is it possible that KBOO talk radio has gotten even more tired, irrelevant and conservative? I tuned into Anni and Melody this morning for the first time in a long time and thought perhaps I had stumbled into the Christian conservative anti-sex hour. They sounded like a couple of old blue haired ladies grumbling about the porn shop that opened up down the street. Maybe they should change the name of their show from Positively Revolting to Positively Prudes.

COUNTY TO SUSPEND 'CHEATING' SHERIFF'S DEPUTIES

Sheriff's deputies who get caught cheating on their spouses or sleeping with another person's spouse in Pinellas County, Fla., will be suspended from work for the behavior, according to a Local 6 News report.

Pinellas County sheriff's Chief Deputy Dennis Fowler said he has seen so many cases of deputy-involved cases of adultery leading to 911 calls that he has decided to suspend deputies over the action.

Bush condemns protests against anti-Muslim cartoons
The Bush administration shifted its position on the publication of anti-Muslim cartoons in the European press, condemning the protests which have swept the Muslim world and suggesting that the demonstrations were being fomented by Iran, Syria and the Taliban in Afghanistan.

After initially deploring a Danish newspaper's publication of cartoons depicting the prophet Muhammad as a terrorist, the White House and State Department have now dropped any criticism and sought to wrap the racist slurs in the mantle of "freedom of the press," while exploiting the developing political crisis to further Washington's own geo-political aims.

Bush Mafia Dry Test Run in Senate St. Valentine's Day Massacre? Nerve gas at McCain others
Approximately 6:30 p.m., Thursday, February 9, 2006, Eileen McMenamin, a spokeswoman for Sen. John McCain says, they have been quarantined in an underground parking garage ("for about an hour") next to the Senate related offices in the Russell building--with police ordering those evacuated to remain in the parking lot "a block north of the Capitol" ("evacuated for about three hours after an alarm went off shortly before 7 p.m.") TWO POSITIVE READINGS, then "mixed" tests, not the spin of "one then ok"! "One of the alarm systems that tests air quality went off with a positive reading, and then it went off again with a positive reading, [what police told Senators...] so I guess they thought it was serious enough that they had to take very aggressive action," said Sen. Judd Gregg, R-N.H., one the senators evacuated from the building." Other reports say police find "suspicious powder..." Preliminary tests on the apparent source of the alarm were mixed, CNN reported.

Eight [or nine] senators, including McCain, and more than 200 staffers were evacuated and "held" in an underground garage. Er, why "hold" the Senators? "A spokesman for Sen. John Thune, R-S.D., one of those evacuated to the garage, said people initially tried to leave the area but that police directed them into the underground parking garage across the street."

Chicago Mafia assassins liked to take friends to quiet meetings in underground garages as well. Perhaps a dry run, a trial run, for something bigger? Get the herd used to going to the "quiet underground parking lot" and following police orders and control? Kill them there, and then blame something else? Perhaps a peek at certain offices files during the enforced evacuation? Perhaps a distraction for the Bush crime family itself once more? Just impeach the criminal. It's so much simpler. Then we can get back to fixing this democracy.

Pentagon spells out strategy for global military aggression
Only days before the Bush administration submitted its fiscal 2007 budget, which calls for a major increase in military spending, the Pentagon sent Congress a long-term strategy document that makes clear Washington's intentions to use the additional billions to wage an aggressive campaign of global militarism.

Envisioned in the document, the Defense Department's Quadrennial Defense Review (QDR), is a vaguely defined "long war" that will involve the use of military power all over the globe to suppress challenges to US interests both from popular insurgencies and geo-strategic rivals. In particular, the document singles out China as a potential military competitor that must be deterred.

VIDEO and review: Feb. 1, BYU Prof. Steven E. Jones packed presentation on 9-11 anomalies
BYU Professor Stephen E. Jones On February 1, 2006, BYU Professor Steven E. Jones gave a public lecture on the various anomalies of 9/11. The lecture took place at the Utah State Valley College in Orem, sponsored by the Center for the Study of Ethics, co-sponsored with the School of Science and Health, at UVSC.

The seminar revolves around various anomalies concerning the events of 9/11, notably, the rapid collapses of the WTC Towers, and specifically, WTC7, that comes under special scrutiny. The seminar also touches on political responses to the events of 9/11.

BE THERE: See Jones presentation for yourself on .avi video at the below link, or audio MP3 at another link.

Prof. Stephen Jones's lecture is very visual--driven by a multimedia slide presentation of text, photos and video clips.

The 150-seat auditorium was filled to capacity, with every seat occupied, and people sitting in the aisles from the stage floor to the back of the room. Video cameras on tripods lined the back row. Two documentary film crews were in attendance, plus the school's camera crew, and various independent journalists. Seven "spill-over" rooms, seating 40-50 each, were also filled to capacity.

Focus on top soil
Richard Embleton, author of "Oilephant Down", has posted something at the 'Gaian Dawn' Yahoo! group about "soil fertility and carrying capacity".

Embleton: "Clearly we cannot continue the destruction of this life-support capability upon which we and all other terrestrial life depend. We must begin making drastic changes now, before it is too late. Sooner or later we will push that system to a tipping point beyond which recovery is not possible . . . The focus of our effort must be food security. The most critical aspect of our ability to feed our massive population is soil fertility. We must ensure that the balance of the mineral and other elemental content of our soils is rebuilt and maintained and that the soils are repopulated and maintained with the critical microorganisms that convert those elements and make them available to the other living organisms, including ourselves."
