Bison caught in the water from hazing operations near Yellowstone On Friday(01/06/06) in Gardiner, the National Park Service (NPS) was busy harassing wild buffalo, protecting livestock interests instead of the flora and fauna they are mandated by the American people to protect. Park Rangers came out on horseback, dressed in cowboy finery, just miles from the hunt zone, and forced wild buffalo off of their winter range.

Killing Homeless For Sport
Gangs use killing homeless as part of initiation process. It is well know no one reports missing and dead homeless people. When homeless are attacked PPB officiers often refuse to take police reports. they justify this by claiming homelesss don't show up in court. Descriminating practices based on income, class, and race are common place in most U.S. law enforcement agencies. Barriers also exist when trying to verify numbers of dead homeless people. Coraners office refuses to releases information and this adds to the barriers Identifing the scale of the problem.

Why the Bush Doctrine Violates the Constitution: the unitary executive
When President Bush signed the new law, sponsored by Senator McCain, restricting the use of torture when interrogating detainees, he also issued a Presidential signing statement. That statement asserted that his power as Commander-in-Chief gives him the authority to bypass the very law he had just signed.
This news came fast on the heels of Bush's shocking admission that, since 2002, he has repeatedly authorized the National Security Agency to conduct electronic surveillance without a warrant, in flagrant violation of applicable federal law.

Senate Democrats prostrate as Alito confirmation hearings get under way
The Senate hearings that began this week for Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito have provided a further demonstration of the impotence and cynicism of the Democratic Party and its lack of any serious commitment to the defense of democratic rights.

Alito, an official in the Justice Department under Ronald Reagan and a federal appeals court judge since 1990, is a member of the right-wing Federalist Society and judicial reactionary known for his pro-corporate rulings, his support for expanded presidential and police powers, his hostility to abortion rights, and his dismissive attitude toward civil liberties.

ISRAEL EATS ITS OWN: Peres assassinates 2nd Prime Minister of Israel, Sharon, & few mourn
...[Sharon's] final meeting was with Ehud Olmert. The following day, Sharon was supposed to have undergone minor heart surgery to repair a small hole in his heart. The operation was to last 3 hours and during that time, Sharon signed the papers appointing Olmert temporary prime minister. According to the newspaper..., **Sharon was utterly opposed to Olmert as his successor** and had, instead, chosen Moshe Katsav. And that may go a long way to explaining why Olmert was so concerned about receiving the temporary transfer of powers authorization from Sharon himself in the Negev Desert, when the very same papers could have been faxed to him in his Jerusalem office. ...[R]evealing account of the meeting: Olmert entered the room. "Arik," he said, "There are a few matters I want to handle while I'm serving as temporary prime minister." Sharon retorted, "I thought so. I'll transfer my authority to you but I remind you it's only for three hours. Do you understand? You will deal with no one and take care of nothing without me."

Within minutes of the stern warning to Olmert, Sharon was stricken and taken by the picturesque route to Jerusalem. And who was there to make sure things went as planned?: Why the same perpetrator of the murder of Prime Minister Rabin 10 years ago. Embedded in the lead story on www.israelnn.com today:... "No politicians have been permitted to visit Sharon, but Shimon Peres was to have been the first one, had Sharon not been taken to the operating room." --- By January 11, Olmert had announced his intention of inviting Shimon Peres to sit in his new government cabinet.
