In a recent posting, we heard from "I was there" who claimed to be one of the cops who shot and killed Fouad Kaady: http://portland.indymedia.org/en/2005/11/328137.shtml
This got me to thinking: What if we had a truly informative exchange with cops (reformed or otherwise) who feel the need to purge their guilt?
"If this recklessness is not stopped, I truly believe our economic freedom as American citizens is in great jeopardy."

Most people have no idea that the common-denominator math of all the world's currencies forms an endless loop that generates debt faster than we can ever generate the value to pay for it. Those who scoff at this analysis have simply failed to do the math. Consequently, this civilization is verifiably based on purposeful and institutionalized deception, coercion, and exploitation. The time is long overdue to change the human equation and end the root causes of most injustice and suffering.

More than 47,000 field tests of genetically engineered crops were authorized by the U.S. Department of Agriculture between 1987 and 2004 despite serious environmental threats and inadequate regulations in place to monitor their impacts, according to a new report released today by Environment Maine Research & Policy Center and Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA).

It is almost that time of the month again, the Boise Neighborhood Association (BNA) is meeting on Monday November 14th, with alot to discuss. The BNA meeting will be held at Albina Youth Oppurtunity School (AYOS) --on the corner of N Beech and N Mississippi-- from 7 to 8:30 pm.
The agenda items include: Green Space Grant - In June, we put out the call for applications for our $4,000 green space grant. In October, Kurisu International presented a proposal and the time has come to discuss and decide, Drug Free Zones - There is much confusion about our two meetings on DFZs. This month, we aim to have a balanced discussion with representatives from both sides of the issue and clarify the BNA position on this issue the BNA will hold a vote whether the community would like to remain a DFZ or not, and finally Election Time - most of our Board members will not run for their positions again and the BNA needs YOU to get involved! Interested in overseeing the Land Use Committee, Safety Committee, or the Boise Voice? Now is the time to throw your hat in for next year!
Senator Jim Elliott from the red state of Montana is no fan of cyclists, so why is he concerned about what's going on with Critical Mass in in NYC ? And why he thinks every citizen should be too. Find out what got this cowboy mad enough to write an article about it.
Mr. Wyden voted in the Senate to approve an unconstitutional law that purports to strip prisoners of Habeas Corpus rights recently upheld by the Supreme Court. The move amounts to an unconstitutional attempted power grab by the legislative on behalf of the executive branch to wrest power from judges to decide basic constitutional questions.
Was hanging out, breaking maybe 6 minor laws late at night. The policeman who came over was very cool about it. Pretty much typical, in my experience.
had a dream...superimposed on life it takes the shape of this
Do you have any idea how many "lesbian cheerleader porn sites" there are? I gave up flipping the Google pages. Not one of those women is a real cheerleader; none of them are out-of-the-closet lesbians making a serious declaration. There are no "Goddammit, I'm a real dyke and a genuine cheerleader" forums. No esoteric little support groups. Nada.
Wyden voted today to bar anyone at the U.S. prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, from filing lawsuits in American courts to challenge their detentions, despite a Supreme Court ruling last year that granted such access.

He posted bail at four. They have not brought him downstairs yet. It will take 2 to 4 hours until he is released when they do. call 503-988-3689 then push option 7 to check up on where in the process they are. He will be released from the justice center tonight. It would be great if people meet him, gave him a ride, some food, a hug and some kind words.

The Bush administration exploited FAKE intelligence to sell Congress on the Iraq war. FAKE intelligence, not faulty intelligence. We show photos of the forgeries here and point out the glaring errors in them, so you can see for yourself. The CIA and intelligence community let the forgeries slip by until after the war started. Then Joe Wilson exposed the forgeries, and his wife, Valerie Plame, got outed to pay him back and shut him up. WHAT ELSE DID THEY LET SLIP BY? 9/11 MAYBE?

Had French society allowed for nonviolent social movements to form and flourish, violence would have seemed politically inefficient. Because immigrants and the working-class are so effectively shut out of French society, they have no other way to effect change than to violently demand it.
I posted 288.00 to Mike D's account at 2:30 pm today at the Justice Center. This should cover the 250.00 bail bond, 33.00 that he owes the County, and 5.00 dollars pocket money for when he is released.
I contacted his public defender this morning and asked him to contact Mike to see if he wanted to be bailed out. Word came back that "YES" he did.

Stan "Tookie" Williams is a five-time Nobel Peace Prize nominee scheduled to be executed on December 13, 2005. He was framed for murder by the racist "justice" system. His appeals were rejected, despite exonerating evidence. Tookie has dedicated his time behind bars to ending gang violence and has already saved countless lives. Now we must act quickly to save his life!
The imposition of a state of emergency by the French government of President Jacques Chirac and Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin gives the minister of the interior Nicolas Sarkozy the right to impose police-state conditions wherever he sees fit.
Many commentators have noted the bitter irony contained in the fact that the legal framework for the state of emergency, the law of April 3, 1955, was enacted as part of French imperialism's attempt to crush the legitimate aspirations of the Algerian people for national liberation from colonial rule. The reactivation of this law, 50 years later in metropolitan France, is an insult to the children and grandchildren and relatives of those exploited, brutalised, tortured and killed by the colonial regime during Algeria's war of national liberation. Many now live in France's council estates, ghettos of poverty, where the youth revolt and its repression have taken place.
Bonuses on Wall Street are expected to soar this year according to two reports released this week. These bonuses make up the bulk of compensation for top executives and managers of banks and brokerages and are rising as a result of frenzied activity in the hedge funds and mergers and acquisitions markets, as well as sharp increases in energy prices.

Instead of working out and overcoming the causal problems, people try to put a veil of the fun society over the whole-as in the times of Rome.. Ideologues elevate the principle of competition into a natural law to immunize the market economy from every form of criticism.

Not from Al Jazheera, or Al Arabiya, but the US Army, in their very own publication, from the ( http://sill-www.army.mil/FAMAG/Previous_Editions/05/mar-apr05/PAGE24-30.pdf ) March edition of Field Artillery Magazine in an article entitled "The Fight for Fallujah":
"WP [i.e., white phosphorus rounds] proved to be an effective and versatile munition. We used it for screening missions at two breeches and, later in the fight, as a potent psychological weapon against the insurgents in trench lines and spider holes when we could not get effects on them with HE. We fired 'shake and bake' missions at the insurgents, using WP to flush them out and HE to take them out."
It's hard to make out exactly what's going on, but the civilians obviously don't have weapons and we all know the nature of the police. In any case... this video has apparently played a part in the ongoing rebellion happening in that racist neoliberal nation.
