Does the Resistance Target Civilians? According to US Intel, Not Really
'US intelligence agents in Iraq have admitted, for instance, to paying people off to make up stories about the fanatically anti-Shiite sectarian Zarqawi:

"We were basically paying up to $US10,000 ($A13,700) a time to opportunists, criminals and chancers who passed off fiction and supposition about Zarqawi as cast-iron fact, making him out as the linchpin of just about every attack in Iraq," one agent said.

"Back home this stuff was gratefully received and formed the basis of policy decisions. We needed a villain, someone identifiable for the public to latch on to, and we got one." (5)

Horrifying, Personal John Bolton Story
'Last night, a woman named Melody Townsel came on the show to tell Sam a personal story of her bizarre and harassing run-in with John Bolton, George Bush's nominee to be U.N. Ambassador. The run-in took place in 1994, when Bolton worked for a private law firm. Melody has spoken with minority council to the Foreign Relations Committee, and may be called to testify next week. She suspects, unfortunately, that her expirience with John Bolton may not be unique.

Audio and Report From Ward Churchill Last Night
Ward Churchill spoke last night at Reed College. The speech was only open to Reed College students and their guests. This was the second time I had seen Ward Churchill speak, the first was at Break the Chains in 2003.

When I saw Ward speak then, he was much more intense and not defneding himself, he was on the offense as radical natives should be, the right-wing has begun to attack him which has moved him to the defense, and this resulted in a much calmer speech.

The aura of fear around this person is alarming, he is under attack as we are all under attack. We are under attack, each and every one of us, and as Ward points out in this speech, each and every one of us has the tools necessary to defeat our enemy. We just need to recognize the players, our enemies, our tools, our objectives, and then win. Anyway, lets get into the actual speech.

Family of Rachel Corrie Sues Israeli Government and Caterpillar Bulldozers Inc.
A U.S. congressional resolution demanding an independent inquiry into Rachel's death was buried in committee for months before it was allowed to expire at the end of the 108th Congress, leaving the Israeli military's investigation - which, surprise, surprise, cleared itself of any wrongdoing - as the only official investigation despite the conflicts of interests in investigating itself. In other words, Israel has gotten away with murder.

Now, on the second anniversary of her death [intentional murder], Rachel Corrie's family is suing the State of Israel and the Israeli military. In the lawsuit - which was filed in Haifa Tuesday - the family is asking for roughly $324 thousand in direct damages, as well as punitive damages. They also said they have yet to receive all of the material from the IDF investigation.

In a moment we will be joined by Rachel Corrie's father, Craig and her older sister, Sarah.

If you hate the Bush crime family that occupies the white house then you will love this show, performed with spirit and sincerity.
This is well performed with songs that you will be able to relate to in a close environment. Some of the tunes may sound familiar, but the words are different, like Day-Job (Day-O) or if I had a Penis (Hammer). The hilarious 'Cleavage' is an in your face performance. There is also a very touching solo by Melinda E Pittman (Not My Enemy). All the cast and musicians are great.
This is an interactive cabaret in which we all attempt to get a clue!
As the final song says, 'We are all in this Together'
Don't miss this opportunity to lift your spirits.

Are Dems behind Greens' problems?
This is a charge frequently levelled here at PIMC -- that the Democratic Party is all about limiting ballot access and perpetuating the two-party system. Supposedly that's all that myself, or Peter DeFazio or Earl Blumenauer really care about. That is the kind of loose talk, inflammatory talk and BULLSHIT that I am tired of getting -- so let's look at the REALITIES.

I respectfully suggest that it's high time that we look at the record to see whether, in fact, the Democratic Party can be said to be the cause of the Green Party's problems in reaching ballot access in Oregon or nationally. Typical of the charges brought (without evidence of any kind) against ALL Democrats (including progressive Democrats!) are accusations made in a comment by "StevetheGreen" following my article suggesting that the Greens would do well to put up a viable candidate against Darlene Hooley for her seat in Congress --

The Omniscience of Memory
Except for the recallable memory, especially the one in human beings, there is not a single entity in this universe that knows more about the changes taking place in this universe. This is so, because whatever the whole content of the universe is undergoing, it is but a "change of condition." The fact that man has the ability to recall the impressions of the "past condition" recorded in our brain as memory is indeed worth our admiration. If the claim that no other creatures, not even those from outer space, have recallable memory turns out to be true, we are definitely left with no other choice but to accept it as fact that man is the only creature capable of knowing the course of events of the whole content of the universe. Now, who actually is this creature that we call man?

The Secret World of 9.11 I. Terrorists, Arms Dealers, & Ghosts in Malawi Crucial details in the biography of "Professor" Abdussattar Shaikh, the San Diego man called the "best chance to uncover the Sept. 11 plot before it happened" by the Joint Congressional 9.11 Intelligence Committee, are untrue, mis-leading, or false, a MadCowMorningNews investigation has discovered. The man who had two hijackers living in his house in San Diego while at the same time working as a confidential informant for the FBI was identified in wire reports as "a retired professor of English as San Diego State" and "Vice President for International Projects at American Commonwealth University." However, a visit to the various locations around San Diego where he was said to have worked reveals that Shaikh has never been a Professor of English nor taught at San Diego State, and possesses only a phony PhD from a bogus diploma mill run by people with U.S. military and intelligence connections. And his job as "vice president for international projects," is at a University which does not, in fact, exist.

Republicans open attack on filibuster over judges
I have been waiting and waiting for something to happen with the Democrats' filibuster to stop anti-environment, pro-corporatist appointments to the U.S. circuit courts. The problem has been that the "decision on when, or if, this battle begins rests with Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, R-Tenn." (See, excerpts from news source, reposted below.)

The trouble has been that the Republicans, after Social Security and then the Schiavo affair blew up in their faces, are what you have to call "daunted." "Undaunted" is what heros have to be -- in spite of adversities, they must always remain "undaunted." But the Republicans have lately given up on heroism -- so they are "daunted," meaning "intimidated" or "discouraged." Why? Because their plans haven't been working out like they thought they would. See, "The best laid plans of mice and men" --

 http://portland.indymedia.org/en/2005/04/315460.shtml

BUT TODAY THE REPUBLICANS HAVE MADE THEIR MOVE -- not in the Senate, but in the media and on the iNet. It's all a media prelude to the action they plan for the Senate.

(And, who knows, it may be part of a bigger plan that will lead up to an air attack on Iran within the next 60 days?)

caught spies specialties: mil. intelligence, e-surveillance, DEMOLITION weaponry First it was poor journalism for FOX to entirely purge the story from their websites. Then it was found they even purged it from THEIR OFFICIAL ARCHIVES. Something interesting in the news here worth looking at, I say.

Then, FOX threatened various other areas like the website whatreallyhappened.com to remove it!

I suggest you populate this all over the internet.

"...far more telling is the admission made by a US Official (in part one) quoted in the Fox News report that hard evidence exists linking 9/11 not to Arab Muslims, but to some of the 200+ Israeli spies arrested both before and after 9/11, however, this Israeli=911 evidence had been CLASSIFIED."

he lets his image carry his spirit John was a mainline leader/activist in the American Indian Movement in the 1970s. In 1979,his family, including 3 young daughters, were murdered. He was given access to the world of famous musicians and allowed to go *in and out of craziness* while he greived and began to write. His deep inner-seeking brings out gems by the dozen. The State works overtime to suppress his insights so that you never even hear of him, much less his depths. He's a traditional-oriented American Indian who is part of a broader resistance against the colonization of both peoples and *their minds* (not only indians!). Everyone should realize the value of hearing him out and passing the word on!
