First Iraq, then the WORLD ! ! Ah-ha-ha-ha-ha!
It's getting dense and deep out there in the world of corporate media.

Here's the spin on why Paul Wolfowitz should go from planning the Iraq invasion out of the White House "War Room" to heading up the World Bank --

"Wolfowitz has devoted his career to advancing the cause of freedom. He is a person of compassion who believes deeply that lifting people out of poverty is critical to achieving that goal." [President Bush]

The people's movement to halt the largest logging project in modern history continues to build momentum after a dramatic week of actions and arrests. The Green Bridge over the Wild and Scenic Illinois River is the site of a growing campaign of nonviolent civil disobedience opposing Bush Administration attempts to roll back decades of hard fought environmental protections. The story is receiving major national and even international press- with ongoing coverage in print, television and radio networks.

12 Ducklings Liberated from Factory Farm
Received anonymously by activists in the USA:

"12 Ducklings Liberated from Factory Farm

Each year, approximately 24 million ducks are killed for food. Most are warehoused in large sheds with nothing but sawdust reeking of ammonia, a bit of food, and 'nipple drinkers' as their only source of water. They live in these conditions until 7 weeks of age when they are slaughtered.

There goes ANWR
The Senate, by a 51-49 vote, rejected an attempt by Democrats and GOP moderates to remove a refuge drilling provision from next year's budget, preventing opponents from using a filibuster -- a tactic that has blocked repeated past attempts to open the Alaska refuge to oil companies.
The action, assuming Congress agrees on a budget, clears the way for approving drilling in the refuge later this year, drilling supporters said.

NO FUR!!!!!! Tell Wet Seal To Write A Public Statement
PETA and local animal rights activists have been gathering outside the Loyd Center Mall in Portland OR to educate people about a women's clothing store in the mall called Wet Seal that is selling rabbit fur. Wet Seal employees have said that they have been ordered to take all the fur items off their shelves and they no longer will be selling fur. But, without a written agreement, they can be sneaky and continue to sell fur.

The Green Bridge over the Wild and Scenic Illinois River is the site of a growing campaign of nonviolent civil disobedience opposing Bush administration attempts to roll back decades of hard fought environmental protections. The story is receiving major national and even international press - with ongoing coverage in print, television and radio networks.

This Monday's compelling all-women's action was the fourth major demonstration against the Biscuit Fire Recovery Project since logging began within the Fiddler old growth reserve timber sale last week. Twenty-two women were arrested, including Stacy Williams, an expectant mother in her ninth month of pregnancy, supported by her midwife and birthing team. Surrounding her on the Green Bridge over the Illinois River were Harriet Smith, 85, Dot Fisher Smith, 76 and Joan Norman, 72, who went to jail for the forests for the second time this week.

CASCADIA! THE SOLUTION TO THE FASCISTS!
Enough is enough! We are fighting on numerous fronts and a storm of battles! This is like fighting one demon after another only to see we are in a storm of demons coming across the horizon! Look at all the battles we are doing. They know we can not fight on every front like this. I suggest we focus and get rid of it in one swoop with secession! This does not mean leaving the lines of battle that we are entrenched in, but do so while encouraging others and telling them we are all under attack! I believe if Cascadia or another region broke free or at least tried the whole house of cards would collapse. Other states would break from the union. The military would even collapse. A Cascadia would destroy these fascists and the world would be in our debt!

If we do not unite we will be fall in these battles. Everyone in this region has stake in this. We just need to alert them to it! We need an outreach group.

Democrat Troll Resigns
How did I become the "Democrat Troll" anyway? That came from my observation that ANY mention of the Democratic Party, no matter how objective and rational the statement might be, invariably draws flak from the anti-dem lobby here at PDX Indymedia. The flak always turned toward ad hominem methods, generally accusing anyone -- who even just mentions that the Democratic Party maybe exists -- of being an apologist for the Democrats and therefore a "Democrat troll." So, I decided to make the "you name it, I claim it" move -- in the old "Dozens" (that is the origin of the Rap category of music and poetry) "you name it, I claim it" was a well-recognized move that could be made whenever someone tried to taunt you with a tag. I should have known that the strategy wouldn't get me anywhere at PDX Indymedia!

Hey Folks, it's a Coercive Hoax. stOp. (S)HriLL (O)iL (S)hiLLs.
www.gasbuddy.com Deceit UNveiled: -'Peak' is PreText ' PiLL' Forcing the
'UNavoidable' ? die-off Plan/Scam

~One theory is backed by a massive body of research representing
fifty years of intense scientific inquiry. The other theory is an
unproven relic of the eighteenth century.

~So which theory have we in the West, in our infinite wisdom,
chosen to embrace? Why, the fundamentally absurd 'Fossil Fuel'
theory, of course -- the same theory that the 'Peak Oil' doomsday
warnings are based on.

~The notion that oil is a 'fossil fuel' was first proposed by
Russian scholar Mikhailo Lomonosov in 1757.

~Two and a half centuries later, Lomonosov's theory remains as it
was in 1757 -- an unproved, and almost entirely speculative,
hypothesis. Returning once again to the Wall Street Journal, we
find that, "Although the world has been drilling for oil for
generations, little is known about the nature of the resource or
the underground activities that led to its creation." A paragraph
in the Encyclopedia Britannica concerning the origins of oil ends
thusly: "In spite of the great amount of scientific research ...
there remain many unresolved questions regarding its origins."

~Does that not seem a little odd? We are talking here, after all,
about a resource that, by all accounts, plays a crucial role in a
vast array of human endeavors (by one published account, petroleum
is a raw ingredient in some 70,000 manufactured products, including
medicines, synthetic fabrics, fertilizers, paints and varnishes,
acrylics, plastics, and cosmetics). By many accounts, the very
survival of the human race is entirely dependent on the
availability of petroleum. And yet we know almost nothing about
this most life-sustaining of the earth's resources. And even
though, by some shrill accounts, the well is about to run dry,....
