Major Media Refuses to Focus on the Recount
Main stream media, for the most part, is refusing

reports of voter fraud, disenfranchisement, and
suppression. It is an extremely disgusting situation,
with literally thousands of people volunteering to
count every vote and those brave and wonderfull
people protesting in the bitter cold about what
happened.

U.S.: A Call for a New Election - 1st Part -

Currently, there is a big hue and cry on the part of the Green and Libertarian Parties, and Nader to count all the votes. I am in favor of this, as it will undoubtedly disclose major differences between false vote counts reported in the media - like 3.5 million more votes nationally for Bush than Kerry; 136,000 more for Bush than Kerry in Ohio, and other such inaccurate data.

Prince Charles's full speech on his support of Slow Food Movement hidden by corp. media

His speech was radical. "Why do we continue to permit systems and agriculture," he asked in reference to one of Claire Short's more malignant "poverty alleviation" projects "that seem bound to contribute to further human misery and indignity? It's all very well talking about the need for 'globalization with a human face,' but the reality is something quite different somewhat different. Left to its own devices, globalization will sow the seeds of ever greater poverty." No one would claim to have the answer, but he continued "but surely the first step to finding solutions is being willing to face up to both the causes and the scale of the problem."
From where I was sitting, the 5,000 or so, mostly non- English audience reacted to the prince not as the future king of someone else's country, but a spokesman for a vital movement of which they were all a part. People nodded their heads and support and not a little amazement. Very few of them had been aware until then of his commitment to these issues. But when the British papers surfaced the following day there was barely a mention...
He additionally said Slow Food is "a small but significant challenge to the massed forces of globalization, the industrialization of agriculture and homogenization of food."
The ancient Greeks made a distinction between licensed authority of the sort you earn nowadays when you give New Labour a big check, and natural authority, which comes with wisdom and experience. Like the monarchy or hate it—-it's hard to deny the Prince of Wales has an abundance of both.

Bamboozled - Destruction of SS Would Harm Black Communities

A big hoax is about to be pulled on the American people in the name of Social Security reform if President Bush and the Republican Congress get their way and send Social Security money to Wall Street. In defense of Rats
As winter grows near, the green herbs and leafy vines that once covered the bare earth in my garden are dying back to the roots. The ground is more visible now, what was once hidden is naked and exposed. My secret is no longer so safe. I'm just going to be honest about this: there's a colony of rats living in my garden. You can see them now, scurrying on trails cut into the mud, leaping down the mouths of burrows that gape from every corner, no longer hidden beneath the leaves.

Sami in Palestine: Tulkram

I took a trip to Tulkarm, in the northwestern corner of the West Bank to see the effects of the occupation on the villages in that area. Tulkarm is located close to the Green Line, the 1967 boundary between the Palestinian territories and the state of Israel, and has been incredibly adversely affected by the building of the wall. The path of the wall, as I have mentioned many times, does not follow the Green Line, but zig-zags over the land, sometimes veering kilometers away from the Green Line, cutting off villages, and annexing people's land.
