Ralph Nader, the independent candidate accused by Democrats of threatening to wreck their chances of beating George Bush in November's election, has said there are no circumstances in which he will drop out of the contest.
All the force checks is what's in its own interest
Nader today released through the Portland Campaign office this statement: "We are now confident that we have the signatures to qualify for the Oregon ballot. The county clerks and elections staff throughout Oregon have the important responsibility to finish the validation process in time for us to deliver the signatures to the Secretary of State on Tuesday at 5:00p.m."
Luke Harding and the Guardian really report,to the extreme displeasure of the US government(Fox, CNN,NBC,ABC, CBS,PBS). and their mouthpieces in the British government and the BBC.
So you think things are bad now? Well, they hella are. But you ain't seen nothing yet if Dubya wins or is re-appointed November 2. For a grim peek at how things may look should John Kerry unimaginably come a cropper on Election Day, read on.

The workers of Brukman, one of about 200 self-managed factories in Argentina, need your help. Although they recovered their factory at the beginning of 2004 and are running it again, the factory has been damaged by police action, and many of the machines are not running at full capacity due to lack of spare parts and repair manuals.
ESSAY (shortened and edited for length and brevity)
A nifty new interactive map put up by anti-Nader activists to "prove" that Nader is drawing more votes from Kerry than Bush actually "proves" just the opposite is true in Oregon. Nader has said all along this would probably start happening as election day draws near. But the real lesson is that dumbly comparing two-way-race and three-way-race poll data is no way to predict election outcomes, or to guide electoral strategy.
Fascism is of a piece
Following is Bill Moyers inteview with CNN's Lou Dobbs on the PBS program NOW. Moyers starts the interview by discussing Dobbs' new book, "Exporting America : Why Corporate Greed Is Shipping American Jobs Overseas."
If they're not outright poor as a class, young adults in this country are at least very, very broke. The average collegian graduates with more than $20,000 in debt, headed for a job market where real hourly wages have kept pace with neither inflation nor the cost of living. Young adults are broke in part because of their unprecedented schooling - in the latest census figures, 28 percent of those between 25 and 29 reported holding a bachelor's degree - which promised to pluck them away from the constellation of problems plaguing America's underclass, whether it was trouble with housing or inadequate medical care.
All we can feel about our selves is that we are experiencing "the present time" on and on throughout our lifetime. Could all this possibly be a result of the fact that the basic matter that forms the contents of the universe is "always present" and that all it experiences is but a change of position?
Kerry or Bush? How about the 5.9 million people here in the United States, under "the supervision" of the Justice system, either in prison, in jail, of probation or parole. Will it make a difference to these people--two million of them behind bars--which of the two sits in the Oval Office? No.

What we in the other [anti-capitalist-anti-imperialist] camp should busy ourselves doing is, a campaign that does not to get out the vote for the 2004 elections.
![]() "Meanwhile, the demented Zionist, Alan Dershowitz, dredging up the Holocaust (again), writes that international law needs to be amended so Israel can attack Iran because it is only a matter of time before the evil Iranians nuke Israel for no other reason than they hate Jews and want to kill them once and for all. Dersh says killing thousands of Iranians---and possibly exposing millions to deadly radiation---is the "moral" thing to do. " So, if the Straussian neocons have their say, in October Bush will do something noisy and violent in the direction of Iran. "This October could be full of surprises," predicts William Lind. "If Israel plans to [attack Iran's nuke facilities] this year, the Bush Administration may see a political opportunity it cannot pass up. At the very least it is likely to endorse the Israeli action, and it may well participate.

There are numerous connections between the Bush family and the Nazis. Moreover, the philosophy of the neocons within the Bush administration has already been connected with fascism. However, no article has attempted to present an overview of the fascist connections within the Bush administration.

Many television journalists attempt to project an image of being objective, dealing in facts, as seekers of the truth, and of providing fair and balanced journalism. But contrary to what they would have us believe, they are transparently biased. They make allegations of all kinds about issues that they want to destroy for political and personal reasons. They present these allegations as if they were already established as factual. And they do not offer concrete proof of any kind to make them valid.

"My goal is to help President Bush win the election, and this is a small part I can play to help him win Arkansas," Lamoureux of Russellville said. "Having Ralph Nader on the ballot will improve President Bush's chances of winning Arkansas."
I am most likely one of the very few who actually believed that former president Bill Clinton was telling the truth when he said that he had tried smoking marijuana but he didn't inhale because he wasn't a cigarette smoker and didn't really know how to inhale. That's exactly what happened with me, a non-cigarette-smoker, the first time I tried smoking pot, but of course I persisted until I got it right.

Have you ever noticed how many anarchist ideas remain on the
internet? Have you noticed that the few anarchist publications around get more contributions than production help, and that so many ideas never make it into any of them? Have you also ever noticed that many people won't take the time to search for anarchist ideas even though they may agree with them? We think we have some ideas to get anarchist ideas off the internet, have unlimited printing and distribution possibilities, and to put anarchist ideas into the hands of curious and/or misinformed people.

Have you read the 9/11 Commission Report? The one that John Kerry says should
be adopted in toto by the Congress? The one that George W. Bush also applauds and supports (with a few amendments)?

The report states that "threats [to the U.S.] are defined more by the fault lines within societies than by the territorial boundaries between them.. In this sense, 9/11 has taught us that terrorism against American interests `over there' should be regarded just as we regard terrorism against America `over here.'" And then they conclude: "In this same sense, the American homeland is the planet."(p. 362)

I just got an update from a variety of marchers.

—R. D. Laing Ronnie Laing's profound dictum leaves us with many poignant questions regarding the true nature of the psychic lives of so-called ordinary Americans and our ability to function in this corrupt and crumbling empire. In short, IS IT SANE TO BE ABLE TO ADAPT TO AN INSANE CULTURE?
Maribeth Healey of the union-backed group Oregonians for Health Security, said Kulongoski's proposal had promise to help Oregon consumers. She said the long-term solution, however, would not be to let U.S. consumers access lower-priced drugs from other countries, but to use the same tactics as those in Canada and most other nations: set limits on what pharmaceutical companies can charge or allow governments to negotiate for lower prices through bulk purchasing.
