Suicidal Asian Farmers
While reading one of the many interviews of Noam Chomsky by David Barsamian, Barsamian asked Chomsky what he thought of Ghandi's suggestion that the Jews of Europe living in concentration camps in Nazi Germany commit suicides in large numbers as a form of protest against their persecution by the Nazis. In typical Western fashion, Chomsky expressed his own strong disapproval of such a protest tactic in response to Barsamian's question.

REVIEW/BOOK: A Movement of Movements: Is Another World Really Possible?
The Movement of Movements charts the strategic thinking behind the mosaic of movements currently challenging neoliberal globalization. Leading theorists and activists—the Zapatistas' Subcomandante Marcos, Chittaroopa Palit from the Indian Narmada Valley dam protests, Soweto anti-privatization campaigner Trevor Ngwane, Brazilian Sem Terra leader João Pedro Stedile, and many more—discuss their personal formation as radicals, the history of their movements, their analyses of globalization, and the nuts and bolts of mobilizing against a US-dominated world system.

"With this work, Tom Mertes has provided the progressive community with a concise and insightful overview of both the challenges facing the myriad rivers of struggle against globalization as they seek to join in any kind of unity against G8 hegemony..."

Kerry caught in 1972 election scandal-brother breaks into rivals campaign office
WE need to throw this poser asshole out at the convention. ONLY John Kerry could be neck and neck with the most corrupt president ever. The reason....he's even worse. This is unacceptable. John Kerry won't call Bush on his B.S. and he is full of it himself so he is throwing the electiom to Bush. I just KNOW we can do better that John KErry. All my suspicions have been confirmed. He definately pulled some dirty tricks to 'win' this primary...I mean, does anyone know anyone who voted for this asshole in the primary? He had no campaign offices and no popular support..how the hell did he 'win'?

We don't have to just sit there and take this! WE have to FIGHT BACK!!!!!
