U.S. Soldiers Turn Down $10K To Stay In Iraq
At a checkpoint on the barren plain east of Baqouba, word of a new U.S. army plan to pay soldiers up to $10,000 US to re-enlist evoked laughter from a few bored-looking troops.

"Man, they can't pay me enough to stay here," said a 23-year-old specialist from the army's 4th Infantry Division as he manned the checkpoint with Iraqi police outside this city, 55 kilometres northeast of Baghdad.

Boycott General Motors
General Motors is conspicuously lacks this wisdom or just doesn't care. GM's 2003 Hummer H2, a massive SUV that resembles the U.S. Military's Humvee, got only 10.7 mpg in a Consumer Guide road test inwhich most of the driving was highway. To protect their fuel-INefficient vehicle from Corporate Average Fuel Economy Standards (CAFE), GM made the Hummer H2 so heavy that it would fall outside U.S. regulations on fuel economy.
To produce a behemoth vehicle that is untouchable by CAFE standards is not only shameful, but disrespectful to all that inhabit this earth. GM is not doing its part to do less harm to a planet we all share. Instead, for effect and potential profit, GM has created a vehicle that directly harms our environment and this nation's progress towards oil independence.

I was recently given the most incredible tour of the homeless communites and temporary-labor organizing going on in Osaka, Japan. I have lived in northern Japan for five months, but no one was willing/ able to talk about what happens to Japan`s poor. It turns out, Osaka is home to the largest temporary-workforce in Japan, vast shanty-towns of itinerant laborers, and some very organized homeless communites. Mutual aid lovers, read on.

The inevitable has happened.

Bangalore , which grew under the shadow of America's Silicon Valley over the last two decades, has finally overtaken its parent.

Today, Bangalore stands ahead of Bay Area, San Francisco and California, with a lead of 20,000 techies, while employing a total number of 1.5 lakh engineers. Bangalore, which commenced its R&D activities in 1986 when Texas Instruments set up its product engineering centre here, is currently home to the who's who of the global tech fraternity.

The DEC. 1,'03 SETUP: Fed.Court removed rights to own gun--Bush terror coming soon
Here's the real kicker, though. Silveira doesn't just nationalize the California definition of assault weapon. In Silveira, the 9th Circuit Court made the following pronouncement: there is no individual right to bear arms contained within the Second Amendment to the US Constitution. That means that no American citizen, since December 1, 2003, has a fundamental right to possess a firearm. You heard me right. You no longer have a right to own a gun. Mind you, here is the Second Amendment, in full: "A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." . . . And it's a fundamental (God-given) right, therefore the government can't mess around with it...ever. . . .So, the US Supremes affirm the ruling of a lesser court (by silence, thereby making it the law of America, nonetheless, because contrary rulings from other jurisdictions will not be tolerated), which affirmed its own prior ruling, which says you have no right to own a gun. Like thieves in the night, with stealth, the black-robed dictators steal your rights. Silence and misdirection clearly says . . .[ you are being set up for the next Ashcroft/Bush terror strike on America, when they will take guns.]

Corporate broadcasters seized control of public airwaves through the the Radio Act of 1927, the Communications Act of 1934, and the more recent sweeping deregulation of commercial broadcasting throughout the past decade. Were Automobiles the Most Damaging Invention of the 20th Century?
Until about than one-hundred years ago, human beings lived without cars. Our cities are now designed primarily with routing for automobile traffic; foot traffic is verbotten in most areas of the roads and cyclists are highly confined when sharing the road with cars. The most natural of human exercises and one of the most unique human movements, walking, has now nearly disappeared from many people's lives. I hope that this examination will encourage you to consider whether you wish to partake in the apparent convienence and isolation of a car, having exposed some of the many costs of cars.

Huge red lettering spelled out that Jesus saved, or listed who was likely to burn in hell (Catholics, Homosexuals, Harlots, Atheists, and Secular Humanists among others), and all the signs were neatly stenciled and shellacked. HAARP Can Cause GRID BLACKOUTS (NYC, 2002)--& EARTHQUAKES? A Report.
is there a "baby HAARP" in a old decommissioned nuclear reactor site that is massively guarded, in Tennessee? Can it cause earthquakes? [links below] HAARP technologies are just another American war crime technology, because environmental warfare was outlawed by international treaty in 1977. NOTE: Was the Seattle-Vancouver earthquake of 28 February 2001 triggered - accidentally or on purpose - by electromagnetic (EM) devices? The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC - U.K.) - on March 13, 2001 - and other broadcasters have produced and broadcast live programs with EcoNews Service on whether electromagnetic (EM) weapons had any role in the earthquake.
