BRING IT ON: Hacker Dare Accepted on Electronic Voting Machines
machines are capable of showing whatever machines are programmed to show Roxanne Jekot, a 51-year-old computer program developer from Cumming, said she and a few expert friends could crack Georgia's $54 million touch-screen voting system in a matter of minutes.

Bring it on, said state election officials.

"If something can beat the machine, we need to know that," said Brit Williams, a retired Kennesaw State University professor who helped design the state's touch-screen security system. He put the odds of corrupting the software undetected at 1 billion to one.

Lootocracy
Lootocrats The word lootocracy was originally coined to describe the corrupt cartels that have ruled and plundered countries like Nigeria, Kenya, and some of the former Soviet Republics. But with an amazingly small amount of national debate, George Bush is installing a more global and sophisticated version -- one where those on top can do whatever they choose without the slightest constraints. Bush began his presidency by giving the wealthiest five percent of all Americans massive tax breaks of $75 billion a year. He paid for them in part by cutting child abuse prevention, community policing, Americorps, low-income childcare, health care, housing, and even support for military families. This spring he passed another round of cuts, $35 billion a year targeted overwhelmingly to the same lucky lootocrats.

Start planning now to resist the celebration of colonization and destruction of cultures and languages world wide. Below is an example of what some people did to say no to glorifying genocide.
The genocide continues - as the coal is raped from the Dine in Arizona to fuel Las Vegas, as the bones of ancestors are put on display in museums and corportations put nuclear waste in the sacred lands where bones rest.

The Bush Empire, or the Dean Empire. How to Decide?
I get the feeling that the Dean bloggers are turning their attention to this site in expectation of his arrival. The comments being made in support of Dean are shallow and often flat out untrue. In my opinion, comments on this site have more depth than the foaming-at-the-mouth pro-Dean postings I've seen in the past couple of days. And other postings about Dean in recent weeks haven't gotten nearly as much attention. In the past, James has been the main, if not virtually the only person, defending Dean. Q - Is resistance futile?

BUSH STARTS FIRES
Someone operating as a dupe for logging interests, or even more insidiously, for the Bush regime, started two massive fires for the backdrop of his visit. It remains to be seen if the 'public' U.S. national forest service will conduct a proper investigation into the cause of the fires. It also remains to be seen if the mainstream media will cover this issue properly. What can we do?
