US Before the Third Iraq War
"The US has not learned from comparable situations in the past that `the best military victories cannot win the peace'. In his detailed study on the mistakes of the US - for example the belief that Saddam Hussein's overthrow alone would win the `hearts and minds' of the Iraqis -, Cordesman develops a series of scenarios on future developments in Iraq..The US at the end could wage a third Gulf war against the people

Did Bush and Cheney "Order" the Great Blackout? YOU BET THEY DID!
The timing was way too convenient - just days to weeks before crucial votes on Bush's sweeping energy plan and Clear Skies Initiative - both designed to dramatically overempower and expand the fossil-fuel-driven electrical power generating industry. Afterall, if the 9/11 disaster got G.W. the Patriot Acts, why shouldn't a massive power outage get him "Energy Acts"?

Sloppy rehab at Starbucks-owned building in SE endangering residents and workers

Following a lead provided by a local business owner, two indymedia activists went to the Seven Corners area of SE Portland this morning to investigate reports of a sloppy rehab job taking place at the former Ladd's meat building on SE Division at 20th Ave, which has been purchased by Starbucks. They were greeted by the acrid odor of an old building getting torn up, and bits of fiberglass rolling down the sidewalk in the wind. Clouds of dust billowed up from the parking lot of the meat building where a large piece of machinery was dumping smashed building parts into a dumptruck. Despite the bad odor, dust, and loose fiberglass, none of the workers were wearing masks. Whether or not asbestos is being released during this process -- as is likely with a building of this age -- is unknown at this time.

Yawn . . . Yet Another Lie From Democrat Lie Machine Howard Dean
In an interview Thursday, the former Vermont governor said he did not recall promising to accept public financing and the limits that go with it. However, in a March 7 interview with The Associated Press, Dean committed to accept the taxpayer money. The promise was echoed by a campaign spokesperson. "We've always been committed to this. Campaign finance reform is just something I believe in," he said in March. Dean also said his position was not based on any political considerations, such as the size of the field or how much money he can raise.

How To Produce and Distribute Bumper Stickers With Minimal Cost Using Common Home Office E
If you are like me, you've noticed that anti-fascist/anti-Bush bumper stickers are hard to find. What you probably do not realize is that the dearth of these stickers is not caused by the lack of a market. The market not only exists, but is enthusiastic and yearning to express itself. I know because I broke ground in my local area by producing and distributing anti-Bush bumper stickers in exchange for donations to my collection of anti-fascist websites.
