Barter may provide a transition state while waiting for "the revolution"
Cascadia Hour Exchange is a group that is working to develop a barter system as an alternative to taxable money. This has been working well in Ithaca NY, (www.ithacahours.com) since the early '90's. It seems it has not taken off quite so well here, perhaps because the economy here was booming so nicely during that decade. Now that the boom time is gone, this is just the thing to ensure that more of us can get our needs (and wants) met while being able to pay the bills as well.. I encourage folks to check out both these websites to learn more.

Pentagon Disguises Combat Deaths As 'Accidents'
Sgt. Christopher Coffin, 352nd Civil Affairs Command The details of Sgt. Christopher Coffin's death have been mired in confusion since the day it was announced by the Central Command. Initially, a press release from Coffin's unit stated he died after his vehicle swerved to avoid a civilian vehicle. Now a new report says Coffin's vehicle was deliberately run off the road, then surrounded by an angry mob. A Humvee following Coffin stopped to help, but was also overwhelmed and then set on fire.

Rep. Tom Allen, D-Maine said that although he does not dispute that accidents happen, it seems that there are "an awful lot of accidents."

PUBLIC FORUM: 9/11 Unanswered Questions
Join us tonight in Beaverton for a "Public Community Forum entitled "9/11 Unanswered Questions".
We will be showing a screening of the Guerilla News Network video "Aftermath" and clips from the "Unanswered Questions.org" news conference from Washington DC that took place last year.
Following the screening we will have an open discussion centered around what we can do on a local level to force our representatives to call for independent open ended investigations into the security failures that allowed 9/11 to take place and how we can educate people to the facts that the corporate media won't report.

Blaming Everyone But Bu$h: The Pretend Captain
Baby Bu$h--The Pretend Captain When it became apparent after the war the President lied to the people, the President's political action team went into overdrive. It wasn't the President's fault, they moaned. Others, like the CIA, gave him bad information, they whined. The British were at fault, they blamed. The president doesn't have responsibility for anything, they wailed.
