USA is Trying to Manipulate the UN Weapons Inspectors Again
Former UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter said on Friday the United States was trying to manipulate Hans Blix, the head of the weapons inspections team waiting for a new UN resolution so it can resume its work in Iraq. Ritter also expressed a fear that Washington would try to trigger a war with Baghdad by interfering in new arms inspections. "The US will be doing whatever it can to provoke a confrontation," the American told journalists at the start of a two-day peace conference in Berlin. "There is a big group of people in the United States that want war."

CIA Declassified docs on Cuba: Operation Mongoose (A must read) As you read these documents, you will begin to understand the minds that run things in this country. The Pentagon was not hesitant to make plans to blow up a US Navy Ship, or a military base or even US civilian plains, just to change people's sentiment on the war. Are the news we receive on the mass media the truth, or are they created to alter the way we see things??? September 11É.. what really happened? (article 1)

A Few Suggestions For Organizing During Marches
I have written a few suggestions for people who may be attending upcoming events. I feel that over and over our back lines at marches are being picked off for pepper spray (i.e. infants) tickets and arrests. The front end of the marches tend to have a solid formation but the backlines seem to straggle and get harrassed. These are a few suggestions that people may want to incorporate on their own to any march.

Disrespecting Democracy
Why isn't it considered unamerican and unpatriotic to deprive citizens of the right to vote? This article neglects to mention the 91,000 voters (50% of whom are black) who, by Katherine Harris' admission, were illegal purged from the voter rolls in 2000 and *still* have not had their rights restored! That's 2 elections they've been prevented from voting in, both with Bush candidates. And that doesn't even count the 180,000 Florida votes that were never counted in the 2000 election from districts with large black populations...

Oregon’s Measure 23 Is Anything But Healthy
s November 5 approaches, citizens are focusing closely on their own state's ballot initiatives. But one could have greater national implications than any other: Oregon's Measure 23. To be sure, a referendum in Oregon — a state of just 3.3 million people — is hardly the stuff of front-page headlines. And Measure 23 appears almost certainly headed for defeat. Still, the race may be worth a second look. Indeed, it may mark the return of the health-care issue.
