Pathology Incorporated; The Facade Of American Democracy
With the rigged Democratic presidential nomination behind us, the US election reality show continues. The mass media is creating sensations around what has become a national embarrassment with this contest of the lesser of the two crazies. On the one hand we have Donald Trump, depicted as a quintessential narcissist and on the other, Hillary Clinton who is often portrayed as a sociopath. Hype is created by putting these labels on the candidates, pitting one personality disorder against the other.

This is a corporate sponsored election charade doing business as usual and distracting people from the real power behind the veil. In The Corporation: The Pathological Pursuit of Profits and Power, filmmaker and law professor Joel Bakan (2004)examined the consistent character attributes of corporations and concludes that if they were a human, they are a textbook example of a psychopath.

Psychopathy is a personality disorder that cuts off those who are affected by it from the emotional reality of others. The core of this pathology is the inability to put oneself into someone's shoes. Empathy is the seat of conscience, and without it comes an incapacity for love. These candidates are just symptoms of a system run by corporations, which is now revealing the full fledge of pathology incorporated here in the United States. When a society lacks understanding of the depth of its darkness, this unaccounted power sees no bounds for its pursuit of a single vision.

The Death Of Neoliberalism And The Crisis In Western Politics
But now reality has upset the doctrinal apple cart. In the period 1948-1972, every section of the American population experienced very similar and sizable increases in their standard of living; between 1972-2013, the bottom 10% experienced falling real income while the top 10% did far better than everyone else. In the US, the median real income for full-time male workers is now lower than it was four decades ago: the income of the bottom 90% of the population has stagnated for over 30 years. A not so dissimilar picture is true of the UK. And the problem has grown more serious since the financial crisis. On average, between 65-70% of households in 25 high-income economies experienced stagnant or falling real incomes between 2005 and 2014.

The reasons are not difficult to explain. The hyper-globalisation era has been systematically stacked in favour of capital against labour: international trading agreements, drawn up in great secrecy, with business on the inside and the unions and citizens excluded, the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) being but the latest examples; the politico-legal attack on the unions; the encouragement of large-scale immigration in both the US and Europe that helped to undermine the bargaining power of the domestic workforce; and the failure to retrain displaced workers in any meaningful way.

Destroyed families, Destroyed lives, All because of a lie
Robert George Tronge Throughout the world there are myths based on misinformation, wishful thinking or outright lies. When lies have been exposed and the myths put to rest some people continue to believe the myths even after the truth has been exposed. Most of us would consider the people who continue to believe the myth as ignorant, foolish, or having ulterior motives. If they continue to choose to believe in the mythos because of their fear, hatred, bigotry, or loss of financial gain or a desire for unjustified revenge, and as a result of that individual lives continue to be destroyed as well as families torn apart and children subjected to a harassment, threats and violence, then those people's actions should be considered criminal. It is time to call out the people that ignore facts or try to Perpetuate the fantasy myth based on false information in order to further their own personal or financial interests simply because in reality they are bullies, vigilantes, sociopaths, and outright liars, this group includes everyone from the misinformed citizen to many so-called professionals, as well as various victims advocates, and yellow journalistic news media. Not to mention all the way up through our elected officials who are no longer interested in they're oath to protect constitutional values as much as they are in winning public approval.

Persecuting Assange: The Mainstreaming Of Neoliberal Pathology
Perhaps the most perplexing aspect of the often hostile public reaction to the plight of Julian Assange is the assumption by so many of benign intent on the part of the US and its close allies, the UK and Sweden. Despite the mass intrusive surveillance apparatus exposed by Edward Snowden, under the umbrella of which strategies reminiscent of the East German Stasi have been laid out for the world to see; despite the long documented history of illegal, covert operations undertaken by agencies of the United States like COINTELPRO, Operation Mockingbird, Operation CHAOS and many others; despite dozens of illegal interventions and bombings of foreign sovereign nations; despite multiple CIA-sponsored coup d'etats that replaced democratically elected leaders with murderous dictators; despite the numerous fake FBI terror plots to justify the [] dedication of [vast] resources to the 'war on terror'; despite the quite insane double standards displayed in the 'intelligence' arena... despite all these documented realities, perplexing it is indeed that any serious person could assume any benign intent whatsoever. Indeed, given the above list, an intelligent person would surely assume the precise opposite.

Venezuela Crushes 2,000 Guns In Public, Plans Registry Of Ammunition
Venezuelan police crushed and chopped up nearly 2,000 shotguns and pistols in a Caracas city square on Wednesday, as the new interior minister relaunched a long-stalled gun control campaign in one of the world's most crime-ridden countries.

Interior Minister Nestor Reverol said the event marked the renewal of efforts to disarm Venezuelans, through a combination of seizures and a voluntary program to swap guns for electrical goods.

Venezuela has the world's second highest murder rate and the street gangs that plague its poor neighborhoods have become increasingly heavily armed in recent years, at a time when a deep recession has reduced resources available to police.

Gangs often get weapons and ammunition from the police, either by stealing or buying them from corrupt officers, experts say.

President Nicolas Maduro promoted Reverol this month, days after the United States accused the former anti-drugs tsar of taking bribes from cocaine traffickers.

"We are going to bring disarmament and peace," Reverol told reporters, while police officers drilled and sawed at rusty shotguns, home made pistols and some newer weapons. Other guns were crushed in truck-mounted presses. Some members of the public watched, although more danced to a nearby sound system playing salsa music.
