Few, if any, of the correct questions were asked in the grand jury hearing to decide whether policeman Darren Wilson would be indicted for killing Michael Brown.
Chris you believe in non violent protest why are you not condemning Ferguson? It is easy to be non violent when your not the target.

A life coach who often helps others to experience more gratitude, Dave Wheitner sees room for more thankfulness in his own life. During a period of major life transition, he faces his own fears and uncertainty about money, wealth, financial security, and geographic location in an unlikely way.
Wheitner takes to Portland's streets, speaking with dozens of homeless and financially limited people. He offers each one a few dollars and an unusual request.
Inquiry question about Weds Nov 26 protest. Is it on? Does anyone know? Or did I see inaccurate info that meant to be talking about Tues Nov 25?

Perhaps the story of the killing of 18 year old Michael Brown is not about race, or even about police malpractice. It's been drummed up as a smoke screen to distract from something more nasty. It has all the earmarks of a typical psyop. A galvanizing, symbolic cigar sub-narrative. The always-requisite gotchas that lie at the foundation of any fine conspiracy theory.

![]() this is an outstanding, must-watch video produced a few years ago by an engineer, who clearly shows how existing high temperature pyrotechnic chemicals can be used to melt structural steel, of the type used in construction of the World Trade Center skyscrapers. He first explains the context, and in the last half of the video demonstrates (using actual steel and thermate) how these chemicals can be used not only to melt, but also make precision cuts in heavy, thick steel beams - the kind used in skyscraper construction.

Important question
Our thinking about strength, security, work, happiness, health and prosperity must change from the extractive and destructive paradigm to caring and protection. Nature is our partner and our hope, more than an external, a free good and a sink. Lakes are more than anti-freeze, mountains are more than land fill and politicians should do more than stuff their pockets.
I don't protest much nomore. Kinda old. Will protest tomorrow in my little town. (Note: There are websites out there pretending to be "liberal", but which are racist and classist.)

Political-economic decisions decide over the life and death of people. These are the misguided decisions of politicians and managers sacrificing people in the US, Russia, Thailand and Greece. The New Deal stands for an effective debt reduction... The poorest and weakest persons must always pay the price for misguided political decisions. Germany was active driver of austerity.

![]() I have seen good cops on TV and in movies. I have also seen aliens and dinosaurs on TV and in movies. It would be nice if the mythology about "the brave men and women of law enforcement," and the image of police seen on TV and in movies, in some way resembled reality. But it doesn't. For example, when police show up en echelon with body armor, fully automatic firearms, armored vehicles and other riot equipment to a peaceful, non-violent demonstration comprised of unarmed citizen protesters who pose no physical threat, the police act like gang members because they are [effectively] gang members. Cops join the police force/law enforcement for the same reason people join other gangs. Because they are cowards, who feel weak. Consequently they want to feel power over other citizens, so they join a gang which has guns (as well as myriad other armaments) to threaten, harass and otherwise 'gang up' on people. Statistically, the occupational hazard of e.g. construction worker is more dangerous than being a cop. Construction workers are also not generally know for fatally shooting family dogs because they "feel threatened".

EUGENE, Ore. —Today, the Western Environmental Law Center (WELC) filed suit against the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in federal court under the Endangered Species Act for inadequately protecting Canada lynx habitat, a threatened species, on behalf of Conservation Northwest, Cascadia Wildlands, Oregon Wild, and others. Canada lynx are a rare and elusive wildcat that depend on large pristine tracts of boreal forest habitat with ample snowshoe hare and persistent deep snow.
Cheers went up from hundreds of postal workers today when the resignation of Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe was announced. The postal workers and their supporters rallied at Postal Service headquarters, site of a meeting of the Postal Board of Governors, and at 150 locations in all 50 states,to urge a halt to plans to shut down 82 mail processing plants, which they warn will slow mail delivery and cost jobs. In Oregon, rallies were held in the three towns scheduled to lose their mail plants - Springfield, Bend, and Pendleton - plus Medford. Portland held a rally on Tuesday with Senator Jeff Merkley.

The TTIP, "Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnership," could be a massive threat to social and environmental regulations and public sector jobs. Corporations can sue states, states cannot sue corporations and the decisions of 3-person arbitration courts would be irrevocable. This parallel system gives corporations and foreign investors power over states.

The empirical-historical analysis of the top incomes and their wealth are in the center with Thomas Piketty's "Capital" (2014. The share of the top 10% was never less than 60% between 1917 and 2012. The wealth of the richest grows three times as fast as the average income. A wealth tax is vital to reverse the exploding inequality.
