White Supremacists' "Revolutionary" Suicide Attack On Las Vegas PD
Two Las Vegas police officers were killed Sunday in what appears to be a politically motivated ambush in a pizza restaurant that spilled over to a nearby Wal-Mart, where the two shooters committed suicide after killing a woman in the store.

Details are sketchy but Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department sources close to the investigation say the shooters shouted that "this is the start of a revolution" before opening fire on the officers, and draped their bodies with cloth showing a Revolutionary War-era flag. Investigators have also found paraphernalia associated with white supremacists.

Sunday night Metro homicide investigators and FBI agents cordoned off and were searching a small apartment complex at 110 S. Bruce St., about four miles from the shooting scene. A resident of the complex said he had spoken with a man who lived in the apartment being searched. He said the man appeared "militant," and often talked about conspiracy theories.

An explosion was heard at the apartment complex at about 9:30 p.m., but no information was immediately available.

Video: Fair Taxes for All, Joseph Stiglitz
Barriers are political, not economic. Humans can revise the tax code. Our tax system encourages the 1%. If you're not creating jobs here, you'll have a high tax. Median income is lower than a quarter of a century ago. All the growth has gone to the top. We no longer have a country with opportunity. Policies and politics have shaped our economy in unconscionable ways.

5.30.14 CITY CHALLENGE TO ANNUAL COURT HEARINGS JEOPARDIZES DOJ AGREEMENT ON IMPROVING
The Albina Ministerial Alliance Coalition for Justice and Police Reform (AMAC)
strongly condemns the City of Portland's refusal to agree to annual status
hearings on the Settlement Agreement with the United States Department of
Justice (DOJ). The Court has indicated that, absent such hearings the Court
will reject the Agreement. The City's refusal to participate in the proposed
annual hearings -- in which the Court's authority is limited to receiving
information and merely asking questions of the parties -- is unjustified, and
is a clear rejection of the Court's continued authority over this case.

Blaming primarily people in the CIA and the military for egregious torture and murder doesn't recognize these acts fall within this far broader set of corrupted cultural realities (even as we realize the very egregious nature to this globally expanded clandestine archipelago of secret prisons and hundreds if not thousands of renditions). Challenging A Militarized Police State In The US
When the Albuquerque Police Department (APD) and other law enforcement agencies cracked down on protestors March 30, 2014, the city's finest rolled out a military-style force.

Chanting "No Justice, No Peace," the revved-up marchers were protesting the March 16 shooting death of homeless camper James Boyd, a man with mental health problems, and more than a dozen other men since 2010, many of whom also reportedly suffered from mental illness.

As the evening progressed, the police reacted in front of the University of New Mexico (UNM). Equipped with gas masks, body armor, batons and automatic rifles, they deployed officers on horseback, a SWAT Team and a pair of armored vehicles. After confronting shouting protestors, the APD released tear gas, which seeped into campus dormitories.

March 30 wasn't the first time that local cops forcibly broke up a militant if largely peaceful demonstration. In October 2011, police dismantled the local manifestation of Occupy Wall Street, while in March 2003, APD cops mounted on horseback charged at anti-Iraq war protestors and fired tear gas that drifted across a UNM-area neighborhood and into homes.
