Keystone Blockade Update: TransCanada Goes Thuggish as Pipeline Blockaders in Texas Dig In
Tar Sands Blockaders - in trees, in the direct path of the Keystone Pipeline. Transcanada - the Canadian oil giant behind the Keystone Pipeline - is encountering an increasingly stubborn, sophisticated and growing resistance in Texas, were the "Tar Sands" Blockade is entering it's second month. It's reaction -- thuggery and attempting to prevent any public scrutiny of it's actions. In the past few weeks it has arrested a grandmother on her own property, detained and expelled journalists, and is paying local police to maintain surveillance, and harass, the protesters.

If ideas are revolutionary then one will not get a good audience within a monopolistic business oligarchy, such as the US.
Thus, one must try to express the reason for the corruption which causes a public or a society, ie those few who own the society (the oligarchs), to be antagonistic to new ideas.
The main reason the society is antagonistic to new ideas is because it is an unequal society.

Why Chavez Won BIG! A Comparison Between the Presidential Elections in the U.S. and Venezu
U.S. workers and those who are unemployed are frequently told that the current presidential elections are among the most important in this country's history. With continuing high unemployment and underemployment, declining wages, and looming massive cuts to social programs that help workers, such as Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security, we are at a grave point regarding the direction of this country. However, the policies of both presidential candidates and their parties have perpetuated the devastating effects of the Great Recession for workers. Wall Street, the banks, the corporations, and the wealthy have been the beneficiaries of these policies while the only thing workers have received has been more sacrifices.

Mitt Romney Didn’t Rationally Win the First Debate At All
From an intellectual and rational position Romney lost. The debate was too much on technical matters most Americans don't much understand that well; and therefore were left groping to look for whatever impressions they could muster. Most people came to this debate to have their prejudices confirmed. Many venues of media, including alternative media, have played both candidate as sinner and saint—to be either hated or loved. What we got instead was a somewhat collegial discussion on issues the majority has too little interest in understanding because every topic of complexity can be skewed with bias. Where was the blood? Where was the slander and outrageous remarks that American people love to hate? Mitt Romney comes off sounding like some compassion person who has lived and worked in the Peace Corps. But Romney's business background as real decision practice insinuates the opposite of what he projects as a political debater.

treated his family dog terribly while breaking Massachusetts law. He has harmed millions of animals. He said "I've always been a rodent and rabbit hunter." Rob Portman, touted as a possible vice presidential candidate, is a leader of the drive to bring hunters into the national parks, endangering citizens, their children, and international tourists, not to mention the animals. Paul Ryan voted no on protecting horses and burros. Ryan has voted consistently for rancher and dairy industry subsidies which benefit Wisconsin agribusiness cartels.
