Obama's "Free Trade" Follies
The three pending "free trade" agreements portend more unemployment and corporate enrichment. Countries like Argentina have broken with the Washington Consensus (deregulation, privatization and liberalized markets). Argentina, free from the bondage of structural adjustment, has had 6-8% economic growth. The Washington Consensus is a discredited model.

Laborís Choice in 2012
2011 has been an historic year in the U.S. From last winter's explosion of mass protests in response to the attacks against public workers' unions, especially in Madison, Wisconsin, to the even more widespread Occupy Wall Street Movement (OWSM), there have been few years in the past decades that demonstrate so clearly the fighting spirit of workers in America when they are forced to defend themselves from corporate attacks. For those who have been working for a change in this country's political direction, 2011 has rewarded our efforts with hope. For those who have been enduring the conditions of the Great Recession in isolation, 2011 has awoken them to realize that they are not alone, and that there is strength and power in unity.

Dangers of Wi Fi in Schools: A Public Health Emergency (Who Cares?)
Wi Fi emits radio frequency radiation, same as cell towers and phones. Portland Public School policy is not to lease property to cell phone companies for tower sites yet they bring towers into the schools. Recent measurements of one middle school show that children are sporadically exposed to 3 times or more the radiation than standing 200 yards from a cell tower. In some schools, that is a 7 hour exposure all day long. check website at the end of this post for more information and get involved. There is now a law suit against PPS.

New Squatted Park In Santa Cruz Gets Bulldozed
Friends, neighbors, and comrades gathered early in the morning on Saturday, December 3rd to transform a vacant lot on the south-end of Santa Cruz's main street into a vibrant community park. Folks worked throughout the day breaking up hunks of concrete, created five large raised garden beds (with plans for three more), filled them with soil, and planted dozens of plants. Curious people passed by asked questions, offered up complements, and even joined in. By the end of the day, approximately 40-50 people had helped in creating North America's newest squatted park.

Occupy The Library
America's majority who supported the Occupy Wall Street movement (OWS), within the 99% of all Americans, are being smeared by agent propagandists within the punditry of mainstream media (MSM). For example, Michael Gerson's black demagoguery, of the closet-right-wing Washington Post, is a good example. In one of his recent columns he declared the OWS movement seems little more than a "... confused set of grievances... " and paints the movement to have little ideological coherence save Marxist socialism and anarchy. Equally he attempts to blame the Democratic Party (that he claims is their "desperate" political calculation) for this phenomenon of the Occupy Wall Street (OWS) movement.
