Occupy The Library
America's majority who supported the Occupy Wall Street movement (OWS), within the 99% of all Americans, are being smeared by agent propagandists within the punditry of mainstream media (MSM). For example, Michael Gerson's black demagoguery, of the closet-right-wing Washington Post, is a good example. In one of his recent columns he declared the OWS movement seems little more than a "... confused set of grievances... " and paints the movement to have little ideological coherence save Marxist socialism and anarchy. Equally he attempts to blame the Democratic Party (that he claims is their "desperate" political calculation) for this phenomenon of the Occupy Wall Street (OWS) movement.

City Council meeting today @ 2pm on Police oversight Policies regarding Police Brutality
The proposals and Bureau policy issues will be discussed at City Council on Wednesday, Nov. 16 at 2 p.m. The meeting takes place at City Hall (1221 SW Fourth Ave.). People of this community who have been mistreated by the police -- and who do not partake of the civilian oversight system because of its weaknesses -- have a rare chance to make a difference. PCW hopes to see a renewal of the enthusiasm for police accountability as was saw at Council in March, 2010, after the death of Aaron Campbell.

Occupy The Courts -- January 20th, 2012
There is a meeting Saturday December 3rd, 2011, from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm at the Capitol Hill library branch at 425 Harvard Ave. E., in Seattle. This meeting is for the demonstration being planned January 20th, 2012; at the Federal Courthouse at 700 Stewart street in Seattle. ( People and organizations involved, permits, porta potties, promotion, organizing, staging, sound, event speakers, entertainment, first aid, water, and stuff.)..(This event is not sponsored by the Seattle public Library. The meeting room holds 50 people and I would love to fill it up! Please inform interested people and organizations!) RSVP to  kennspace@yahoo.com to reserve your spot or just show up!

I have done this before and want to progress this demonstration, - and the reform of our government. (I have done the permits, porta potties and stuff before, but will be looking for someone who lives in Seattle to do this one. It will make more sense to elected officials that a "constituent" Seattle citizen is doing this. I will help pay for things but probably cannot afford to do it all.).

Please help distribute this information to interested groups and people. I feel the unions, democratic party, republican party, churches, student groups, and "others" need to be informed this is happening. Please help communicate this meeting and demonstration in Seattle! If you can get this event posted to any community events calendars - that would help!

This post explains my feelings more:

Thank YOU,

Kenn Dzaman (Kenn Space)

(I have also let as many Washington State lawmakers, the President, and many "others", and the Seattle Police and Washington State Patrol know; That a demonstration is happening January 20th, 2012 at 700 Stewart Street in downtown Seattle. As much as I can make it, it will be peaceful.).

The class war by the 1% against the Occupy movement is in full throttle. Last night, cops raided OWS at Liberty Plaza without warning, attacking protestors with pepper spray and batons. Two days ago (Nov. 13), facing a similar eviction threat from Mayor Adams, it was Occupy Portland in the crosshairs. Other Occupy camps have been brutally attacked in Oakland, Berkeley, Denver, Chapel Hill, and elsewhere. Even as they dismantle the camps, we are not giving up the fight.

Paramilitary Policing From Seattle to Occupy Wall Street
y building a progressive police organization, created by rank-and-file officers, "civilian" employees and community representatives. Such an effort would include plans to flatten hierarchies; create a true citizen review board with investigative and subpoena powers; and ensure community participation in all operations, including policy-making, program development, priority-setting and crisis management. In short, cops and citizens would forge an authentic partnership in policing the city. And because partners do not act unilaterally, they would be compelled to keep each other informed, and to build trust and mutual respect—qualities sorely missing from the current equation.

Good leaders and clear agendas must, indeed, emerge, but the best things that Portlanders did on Saturday night were that a) they found the courage to turn out in great numbers and b) they refused to be baited into giving critics an excuse to point accusing fingers at the protesters, but not at their predators.

KBOO’s three-week long experiment in ‘embedded journalism’ at Occupy Portland
When the Occupy Portland encampment began on October 8th, we at KBOO knew that we would be very involved in reporting on the movement - the issues, the constituency involved, the bottom-up civic activism displayed by the camp's ad-hoc organizers all spoke directly to KBOO's long-established values of peace, justice, democracy, human rights, multiculturalism, freedom of expression and social change.

But I don't think any of us realized at the time just how entrenched our reporting would become.

enact new law requiring all riot police, clubs have user's ID# & name clearly visible
Let's expedite the process for voting and immediately enacting a new city ordinance and police policy that holds police accountable and thereby reduces tax dollars wasted, citizens injured or killed, and escalates protests and costs and damage to City funds and property.

Make it the law that if you wear or use riot gear within the City of Portland, you must have your name and ID number clearly legible to the human eye from all directions 20 feet away-- and if you don't you will be arrested, denied pay or vacation or benefits for that time period, denied legal defense for being on duty, and be denied deployment and/or employment in law enforcement for work directly or indirectly as employee, contractor, or volunteer from any governmental agency or body or military working within Portland, regardless of jurisdiction or purpose.

Legitimate use of trained workers to serve and protect citizens and uphold and defend our Constitutionally-recognized inalienable rights do not need riot gear or weapons. In any conceivable riot situation, if the officers are obeying the law and acting ethically, they have no reason to fear being identified, and should feel proud to be photographed and videotaped with their identity clear. This proposed law and practice would prevent criminally-minded officers from committing crimes and abusing their trust; it helps well-meaning officers be safe and trusted, with better social and job security; it helps keep citizens hopeful and peaceful; and it saves tax dollars and helps us focus on more important and urgent problem-solving for the greater good that can thereby prevent future riots or martial law.

There is no rational or conceivable situation in which these name and ID number Velcro or hook and loop badges could fall off or be torn off in the line of duty, or that having this identification would endanger or distract legitimate police work. No excuse.
