Using non violence (re post) [written by Tom H. Hastings]
mono a mono "Mono a mono"

Everyone who has had Ecology 101 or who has done the most cursory investigation into trying to understand the health of an environment knows that monocropping is a temporarily successful and eventually an unhealthy and unsustainable method of agriculture.

This does not extend to a so-called diversity of tactics that includes violence. A small amount of violence can derail a campaign quickly and closes off many of the paths nonviolence can open. Nonviolence does not limit the diversity of tactics.

Alexander, who prides himself on his working-class background, maintains that the Socialist Party historically has been "the true representative of the Left," a point he hopes to drive home not only to disillusioned progressives, but to millions of working-class and poor Americans who have been mercilessly pummeled during the current economic crisis - a near-catastrophic downturn caused almost entirely by the recklessness and avarice of those on Wall Street and their overt enablers in the nation's capital, Democrats and Republicans alike.

The 1% and Capitalism
By definition, capitalism is: An economic system based on private ownership of the means of production (industry, banks, technology), where through the process of market competition, production occurs for private profit if something cannot be sold for a profit it is not produced.

In practice, private ownership has evolved into giant corporations, which monopolize production, markets, and government via campaign contributions, corporate lobbying (often legalized bribery) and promising politicians a cozy retirement from politics: "working" for corporations as consultants, lobbyists, etc.
