Detroit Police Murder 7-year-old girl
Normal, healthy, intelligent citizens do not want to be police officers Ever wonder why the police are so often considered to be just as bad as the criminals they're supposed to be suppressing? Atrocities being committed against innocent American citizens by the police are an added burden that citizens must cope with, and cops are quickly becoming a worse problem than criminals. When fascist pigs with pretend training commit military-style assaults against innocent citizens under the guise of "fighting terror" or "war on drugs" or just because they're hopped up on steroids, we get atrocities committed like the one below.

Massacre in Thailand: Obamas Bloody Hands
When the White House is quiet as protestors are butchered in the streets of Bangkok Thailand, suspicions are raised. Silence often equals complicacy. One can only imagine what the U.S.' response would be to a Venezuelan government slaughter: the U.S. media and Obama would loudly condemn such an act, in contrast to the muted response to Thailand's blood bath.

The history of U.S.-Thailand relations explains why. During the Vietnam War, the U.S. used Thailand as one of the main "anti-communist" bulwarks in an area that included China, Vietnam, Burma, and other countries that were challenging capitalism.

Portland Public Schools has scheduled a High School Redesign Community Meeting tomorrow (Tuesday, May 18) at Roosevelt High School. This community redesign meeting is primarily intended to address the redesignation of Marshall High School as a "focus" school (the "focus" remains a mystery) and the transformation of Benson High School into a two-year technical program for juniors and seniors (or possibly relocating Benson High School to Jefferson). Marshall High School students, their families and the Lents Neighborhood Association have decided to "boycott" the PPS Community Meeting at Roosevelt, which is a very long commute from inner-Southeast Portland. They will be holding their own community meeting in their neighborhood.

Bad Attitudes and Dirty Money: Black Blocs, Anarchism, and the World
From the Black Bloc Papers: "It is a strange pill to swallow, the notion that some of your peers, people you don't know, represent your interests. It is an old tradition, it has given most of us the title of civilians, and it has made others our rulers. Although each life, upon a short and close look, obviously contains its own unfathomable trajectory it has been the way of the modern world to pigeon-hole and harness the energy of each life towards historically questionable ends. This practice, abusing the young in order to eternalize the old, has led us to a point in history in which lives are spent for the sake of the machine's continuing momentum. Inane, insane, or otherwise, we all go through the hopper from our birth to our determined, predictable, and sometimes socially necessary, death."

This has not occurred in a vacuum. Nor has this happened due to a simple, quantifiable reason. The reasons are as much diverse and subjective as they are objective and empirically observable."
