Operation Chi Lift: Time for a No Kill Nation
Our little pregnant girl, finally getting to heal Every year, roughly 5 million healthy, adoptable, dogs and cats are killed in shelters across the country because they could not find a home. Some people say this has to do with an overpopulation problem among cats and dogs. But it does not. In fact, around 8 million dogs and cats come into shelters every year, and around 5 million of those are killed for lack of decent homes. But at the same time, every year 17 million people go looking to adopt a dog or cat. So this is not a population problem, it's a problem of will. Do we care enough to stop the slaughter? Then we must care enough to stop the trafficking of cats and dogs, and we must care enough to go to the shelters and adopt animals who need homes. It's long past time to end this holocaust.

As radicals, we must be physically and vocally present wherever this conversation is happening in an effort to break the conversation from being boxed within the framework of NGO/Non-Profit and Vangaurdist Reformism. We must be present to sow seeds of distrust in the state and their false solutions. Nothing less than the self-determined action of the people will put an end to police violence in our neighborhoods.

Northwest Anarchist Conference: Anarchist Practice. April 24th - 25th
A Short Introduction:
The idea and focus behind this conference is to bring different types of anarchist practice to the for-front and begin moving away from specific theoretical engagements. Rather than taking theory and separating it from its everyday practice. This is an attempt at allocating theory the ideas brought up in discussion and talked about and beginning to practice them (IE. Praxis). There will be no specific theory leading the discussions or dialogue throughout the time except for the person. The set up is to have the ability to talk and discuss the ideas in an open manner. So after every discussion there will be a small open dialogue about the ideas.

Working Above the Law
Last night Portlanders gathered to strategize about alternatives to policing and creating community accountability. We got together to build a movement working above the law for real definitions of safety and justice that fit the needs of our communities. This meeting, held in response to the second violent police shooting in the past few months, focused on questions of what should the relationship between police and community members look like, and what do our visions of justice look like?

Seizing Potentiality; Reflections on Recent Anarchist Momentum Against the Police
In the last month, we have found once more our capacity to act. Greek comrades speak at an infoshop, a man is shot by the police, and we are in the streets within hours. We have claimed the initiative for the first time in years. We set the tone before the liberals could react, but that means that we have a responsibility to think critically and strategically about what to do with our newfound power. We expect to continue failing; we would simply like to fail better.
