Police Brutality: Passover/ Easter celebrate transcending oppressionfear for liberation
One individual's right thinking and revolutionary morally courageous action can profoundly change events and has changed history.

Misfit Moses with the speech impediment, a fugitive wanted for murder, member of a slave colony, a lonely shepherd, almost murdered in infancy, distrusted or resented by all sides, boldly faced his greatest fears and demanded freedom to worship his God, and after a lot of plagues, finally, the thousands of intimidated, self-centered slaves moved in mass from all they found comfortable and familiar for the scary and hard unknown wilderness. After forty years the survivors outgrew the slave mentality. The most powerful military empire, wealthiest global trading center, most advanced technology, most sophisticated culture and enforced religion was not strong enough to defeat this one man and those he led to freedom.

One protester/revolutionary who could be considered a bastard from a family fallen from long-ago glory, grew up in a foreign country as a son to a refugee/migrant worker, then a member of a ridiculed nobody-and-nothing village, disliked by his adopted father's older children... became arguably, the most known and influential in human history. This Friday commemorates the time he was continually discounted and maligned, ignored, disobeyed, burdened, shamed, hated, with so many traps set for him to provoke and set him up for the eventual false arrest and torture to death.

Matt Rossell- In Defense of Animals 30.03.2010 17:50
Four sea lions were trapped- two killed today; mangled trap raises questions of struggle
Cascade Locks, Ore.— Working from boats in the Columbia River below the Bonneville Dam, wildlife agents spent more than an hour this morning attempting to repair one of the traps that was mysteriously mangled sometime in the night. Activists from In Defense of Animals (IDA) and Sea Lion Defense Brigade observed this and photographed the gate to the trap which is broken and dangling in the water, visibly damaged.

Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) has confirmed that two California sea lions and two stellar sea lions were trapped last night, and that the two California sea lions identified as B208/C805 and C934/B300 (also known by some as "Rick" so-named after Rick Hargrave, an ODFW spokesperson) were removed and killed. ODFW had no immediate answer as to what happened last night in those traps, or how the trap door got broken.

Photos of the damaged trap and video of the sea lion removal available upon request.

I Joined the Anti Police Rally
If there is one thing I learned from the recent protests against police its that we as a community have the power to protect ourselves. As police shoved, bashed and rammed people out of the streets with their bikes, I saw enormous amounts of solidarity as community members watched out for each others health. Unified they expressed their rage against the police. As the march rolled in front of the justice center at about 9-10pm the buildings prison cells lights began flickering as prisoners could hear our chants. For hours we roamed our streets showing that we will not forget Aaron Campell and Jake Collin, and we will not forget their murderers faces. Its time to create police free zones. Rather if its your campus or neighborhood lets work together to provide for our safety from the pigs and otherwise. These are our streets! Lets take them back and never forget the people the police have killed patrolling them.

Health Care Battle Ends; War on Social Security Begins
Drunk with success over their Health Care bill passing, the Democrats are now lusting after even greater conquests. With the celebratory hangover still aching, the Democrats lurch forward towards a hasty drive to "reform" Social Security.

The Social Security reform will no doubt resemble the health care reform, the details of which remain a mystery to most Americans. The essence of both policies will be based on one principle: reduce the debt of the United States by any means necessary.

No More Killings! No More Cops!
Today marks the 2 month anniversary of the execution of Aaron Campbell at his doorstep by officer Ronald Frashour. Aaron, a father of four, had been taking care of his brother Timothy who was slowly passing away from kidney failure, in the months prior to his death. Daily Aaron nursed him and kept his brother company at his bed side at OHSU. On January 29th Aarons brother passed. The intense grief and stress of months of slowly watching his brother fade led Aaron to a break down. Having no one else to turn to his girlfriend made a call to the Portland Police in hopes that they would calm Aaron; instead, officer Ronald Frashour murdered Aaron at his door step. Shooting him in back with his AR-15 assault riffle.
