Iranian Jews refuse cash 'bribe' to move to Israel; Voluntarily Take Iran Loyalty Pledge
Group of Jewish Iranians Well, that blew up in warmongering Israeli faces. Interesting news story follows to puncture the bubble of newsspeak about Iran that warmongering UK/US fill the airwaves with.

"In Iran today, the country's Jewish minority unanimously rejected cash offers from supporters of the state of Israel to leave Iran and move to Israel. The Israeli government promised to provide a package of housing and jobs for the twenty-five-thousand Iranian Jews. A special fund created by Israel supporters promised a ten-thousand-dollar cash award for any Iranian Jew who moved to Israel. The Society of Iranian Jews dismissed this move as a bribe. Iran's sole Jewish member of parliament, Morris Motamed, said the offer was insulting to Jewish Iranians....Iran's Jewish population has dwindled from around eighty-thousand at the time of the 1979 Islamic revolution. But, it remains the largest of any Middle Eastern country apart from Israel. Jews have lived in Iran since at least 700 BC."

U.S. Ruling Class to Voters: No Change in Terror Policy
Guantanamo Bay detention center remains open at the behest of the U.S. Senate despite public disapproval and the half-hearted support for closure by President Barack Obama.

Lenin called parliament, in our case the House and Senate, a talking shop given to distract us from the real process of government that goes on behind closed doors. His timely words should be remembered now in the United States' continual War on Terrorism. The Senate is like a shock absorber that effectively neutralizes any grievances from the broad mass of the people that happen to make it through absorber number one, the House of Representatives. Recently the Senate voted 90-6 in favor of denying President Barack Obama the funds need to close the odious Guantanamo Bay prison in Cuba.

How much offshore oil does Arnold Schwarzenegger plan to drill for?
Peak oil. Arnold Schwarzenegger's proposal to extend oil drillling leases off the coast of Santa Barbara is shrouded in secrecy, backroom dealing, wildly conflicting numbers about projected revenue, and Governor Schwarzenegger's power grab for authority over the oil drilling lease permitting process. If Californians don't act to protect their coast, they may well see a lot more oil drilling leases than that at Trainquillon Ridge permitted before Governor Schwarzenegger leaves office, in 2011, all in the name of solving California's budget crisis.

Making Sense of a U.S. Owned General Motors
Now that the United States owns General Motors, many are asking, "What's in it for taxpayers?" This is an extremely good question, considering that taxpayers may spend up to $100 billion [!] towards a company that's currently worth around $450 million. (Wall Street Journal, 6/02/09)

This large discrepancy in numbers means, obviously, that taxpayers could lose tremendous amounts of "investment" money if Obama's "profit first" plan is put into effect. What is this plan? Strip the company to a fraction of its former self, using far fewer workers and making far less money in the hopes that GM will then out-compete the foreign competition on the world market.

"There is something problematic with advocating a 30-hour work week at the beginning of the 21st century: a 30 hour week is not short enough! Watching Obama Morph Into Dick Cheney
America has lost her soul, and so has her president.

A despairing country elected a president who promised change. Americans arrived from every state to witness in bitter cold Obama's swearing in ceremony. The mall was packed in a way that it has never been for any other president.

The people's good will toward Obama and the expectations they had for him were sufficient for Obama to end the gratuitous wars and enact major reforms. But Obama has deserted the people for the interests. He is relying on his non-threatening demeanor and rhetoric to convince the people that change is underway.
