A Visionary Report: How War is Passed On Perpetually
All these anti-war demos, all the words spent to "STOP WAR", all the claims. Yet do we even understand how war is passed on from generation to generation? Do we see the realities clearly enough? OR do we REALLY WANT to be serious in moving beyond war as it has been known? This article investigates, in a concise way, how the values and severely alienated assumptions of war get passed on from generation to generation.

DESIGNA VAGINAS: COSMETIC SURGERY GOES DEEP
In a society where numbers on a measuring tape and weight scale calculate a woman's worth, the field of cosmetic surgery has grown to astounding length.

Physicians offer a variety of nip and tuck procedures that can allow the transformation of a female body from the top of her skull to her very tiptoes. More recently, much has been made of what has come to be known as the "designer vagina" craze.

Mumia Abu-Jamal faces US Supreme Court, as supporters mobilize globally
At the DA's Office On Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, death-row journalist Mumia Abu-Jamal filed his appeal to the US Supreme Court, asking it to consider his case for a new guilt-phase trial. One month before, the Philadelphia DA filed its separate appeal to the court asking to have Abu-Jamal executed without a new sentencing-phase trial. Both are appealing the March 27, 2008 rulings by the US Third Circuit Court. At this critical stage in Abu-Jamal's case, supporters organized a week of global solidarity actions that began on December 6, the day of the main protest in Philadelphia.

As you make room at the table sir, I am sad to see that I will remain at "the other table". I actually backed you in the primaries, after giving up on mainstream politics, as have many of my friends. Oregon Fur Trapping
Oregon fur trapping season started on 12/1. Last year 1283 trappers were licensed and the trend is upward. According to industry forecasts, fur prices will fall this year, but the market is unpredictable. Last year bobcat pelts fetched as much as $1,000, with 1731 bobcats trapped. Most furs are sold to China and Russia, much of it for domestic use, and a warm winter so far has dented sales. This might be good news for Oregon wildlife and pets, but I wouldn't bet on it.

A Little Radical History For Today's Rebellious Youth: Articles on Youth Liberation!
I recently stumbled across several pages of a very hard-to-find bunch of articles and information from a 1970s Youth Liberation group. In light of all the momentum and claims by so many to want to defend youth (i.e. the Greek youth shot by cops and the resulting tummult) I thought perhaps many might want to read this, and perhaps even put it up in an archive or two that might be readily available online, instead of being uncertainly available via archive.org. --In order to gift today's youth with some historical consciousness about other challenges made by young people! Nothing like seeing what others have done so that one doesn't have to "reinvent the wheel" each generation!
