Another Venezuela coup unfolding
The news that Exxon-Mobil, one of the world's largest oil companies, had sued Petróleos de Venezuela S.A. (PDVSA) in a New York court before the International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) has been closely covered by the international media.

Exxon-Mobil "arranged" for the New York court to order the freezing of about $300 million of PDVSA's funds in the United States. According to other information, there is a possibility that it will order the seizure of about $12 billion in PDVSA assets.

For its part, PDVSA announced the suspension of the delivery of 40,000 barrels of oil a day to Exxon-Mobil. The ICSID has not ruled on the matter, but we should remember that only in a very few occasions has it issued a ruling that favors a Third World government.

More Black Ops Over Portland Today
This morning I woke up to a beautiful day only to discover more aerosal spraying by the military. If you don't know about chemtrails I suggest you research it some on google. Did anyone notice how a couple of these jets were actually doing loops around the city? I noticed this one jet do a complete loop around the city and then once it completed the loop, it turned off it's "sprayers" and accelerated at a higher rate of speed to the north, leaving only a contrail behind, which was quickly absorbed into the atmosphere. If you don't understand what I'm talking about I suggest you take 10 minutes to research chemtrails vs. contrails.

Vultures hovering over Cuba after Fidel Castro steps down
On Tuesday, February 19, Fidel Castro announced he was resigning his position as President of Cuba. This comes 19 months after Castro underwent stomach surgery. In fact he has not been in public since then. The media coverage since Castro announced his retirement has been sickening. No mention of the real social gains of the revolution, but plenty of talk about brutal dictatorship and so on.

Immediately upon hearing of Castro's retirement, George W. Bush announced that this should begin a democratic transition and that, "Eventually this transition ought to lead to free and fair elections. And I mean free and I mean fair." He added that, "The United States will help the people of Cuba realize the blessings of liberty." The blessings of liberty indeed! We may ask whether he is referring to the kind of blessings bestowed on the Iraqi or Afghan people.

The hypocrisy of the man has no limits. Everyone knows that irregularities took place when Bush was elected, so he has no authority to give lessons on democracy to anyone. Furthermore, the recent elections in Pakistan witnessed blatant vote rigging, which we can be sure was organised with the help and advice of US "experts".

How To Put Up A Censor-Proof Website From Within The US
A response to the WikiLeak fiasco.

***WARNING! Elaine at Culture of Life News has cautioned that "The problem is, the courts can arrest you if you do it out of country." It is quite true that people living in the US are "protected" from information from foreign lands by special laws. Plus, national "security" policy is (now only slightly) more stringent about information that crosses US borders. However, the freedom of speech and of the press arguments are always a factor.

HOWEVER: It looks to me that if all of your data originates from a web host within the US, then merely using a foreign TLD (Top Level Domain) domain name would be no issue. The TLD itself passes no information at all; your web host who merely uses it does all that. Your advantage would lie in the fact that a US court could not seize and freeze the TLD name. And in the worst case, your friends in Europe could always carry on using the domain name (if you give them the "keys")! We are at the hairy edge of revolt on this one. This will not be settled without a fight. Act at your own risk!

Kosovo’s declaration of independence destabilises Europe
Yesterday's declaration of independence from Serbia by Kosovo's parliament brings the world a step closer to another war on European soil. The move has been prepared and encouraged by the United States and the European powers in a deliberate attempt to stoke hostilities with Russia.

Kosovan Prime Minister Hacim Thaci declared "The independence of Kosovo marks the end of the dissolution of the former Yugoslavia," while Serbia's Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica called Kosovo a "false state". The unilateral move by Kosovo is expected to win the support of the US and the EU today, in the face of strenuous objections from both Serbia and Russia that this action is a flagrant breach of international law.

Pakistan elections: The Mother of all Frauds
Before the results had come in, President Musharraf appeared on the state-run Pakistan Television, calling the vote "the voice of the nation" and the "mother of elections" must be accepted. But in fact this was the Mother of all Frauds. The provisional results for the elections to the National Assembly, as of midday today (Tuesday 19th February) are as follows:
Party Seats
PPP
87
PML(N) 66
PML(Q) 38
MQM 19
ANP
10
BNP(A)
1
MMA 3
Others 34

Even by Pakistan standards this was a massive exercise in vote rigging. Overnight, the masses have been robbed of victory by the intriguers in Islamabad and Washington. The assassination of Benazir Bhutto immediately stirred the masses into action. If the elections had been held at that time, there would have been a landslide victory for the PPP. Nobody seriously doubts this. For that very reason the ruling clique, in agreement with the Americans, decided to postpone the elections.

THE ORACLE OF THE GOLDEN EYES
Here's my final (and by far most venomous/vitriolic) rant of the season. I know how some folk just hate rants. Oh well. I've no love for do-nothing talkers who jack themselves off into believing they're actually making a difference reading or writing endless pages of carefully laid-out pseudo-intellectual double-speak.All the valid information in the world is totally useless in the hands of do-nothings. A succinct punchy rant has the power to plant subliminal seeds of inspiration, even through dark, weird pathways, to recruit fresh energy, new blood to the cause, and the possibility of that happening is the only thing that keeps me going any more. I've pretty-well given up on "the old guard".
