End OHSU's Live Animal Lab
Over the last 20 years, medical education has been reformed and improved. Today, killing any animal in the name of medical education is unnecessary and cruel -- and it's substandard. There is no need for OHSU's medical school to hold on to archaic and inhumane teaching methods. It's time for the university to end its live animal labs.

The Art of Racial Discrimination as practiced by Federal Court of Australia and HREOC
The art of racial discrimination and new age slavery is to tie people up in the court system rife with institutionalised racism. It starts from Commonwealth of Australia, onto the President of Human Rights Commission, and runs through Federal court judges. The old Writs of Mandamus and Prohibition are drawn up to tackle an old problem thats taken on new forms.

When will the left be honest? Capitalism is the problem
One of the great things about life is that we get to learn.
We can evolve and become as intelligent and informed and spiritual as we allow ourselves to become. Or we can allow our egos and past alliances with flawed perspectives to resist admitting when we were wrong so that we can change.

Thanks to a little critical thinking and some wisdom gained through life experience,I have evolved enough politically to understand that capitalism is at the root of most of our problems. A fundamental concept I would of resisted as early as just a few years ago. But I no longer believe that capitalism can be restricted or regulated into submission, be it by increasing government or eliminating it.

Socialists: Feds Offering Little for U.S. Economic Recovery
It is extremely unlikely that working people will benefit from the economic package presented by President Bush; millions of working people are presently behind on house payments, auto payments and are finding it difficult to pay monthly bills, including the cost for food, gas and fuel for home heating. Today, a majority of working class people are living from check to check and are struggling to keep up with the cost of living.

SB 329 - Healthcare for All or insurance company subsidy?
The Oregon Health Fund Board, created by SB 329 in the last legislative session, is moving forward with finding solutions to the lack of access to health care for nearly one in five Oregonians many of whom are children. All the Oregon Health Fund Board meetings are held during the work week making it difficult for working stiffs to attend. However, we can write letters to the board members and let them know what kind of health care system we want. Though the Massachusetts's system of mandatory health insurance has not been a big success the Oregon Health Fund Board is leaning towards that model. We need to let them know that we want a universal single-payer system. Mandatory health insurance means funneling tax-payer monies into for-profit insurance companies. Just say no! We want a not-for-profit system of health care. No shareholders standing between you and your doctor. Speak up now! Otherwise, the solutions they present to the next legislative session you may not be happy with. Here is the link to the Oregon Health Fund Board web site -  http://healthfundboard.oregon.gov.

Do you know that General Electric (GE) is heavily invested in both the nuclear industry and in its subsiduary Raytheon into the military industrial complex as well as inthe news-entertainment complex as NBC? Remember that question that Hilary was not asked months ago about Yucca mountain and was instead on MSNBC (owned by GE) was instead asked a question about if she preferred pearls or diamonds? Are you aware that NBC (owned by GE) hosted this last Democratic debate kept Kucinich (the only anti-nuclear industry candidate) out?

STEPHEN R. SHALOM 17.01.2008 22:46
THE UNITED STATES AND THE IRAN-IRAQ WAR.
According to the Tower Commission, "In 1983, the United States helped bring to the attention of Teheran the threat inherent in the extensive infiltration of the government by the communist Tudeh Party and Soviet or pro-Soviet cadres in the country. Using this information, the Khomeini government took measures, including mass executions, that virtually eliminated the pro-Soviet infrastructure in Iran."<65> These massacres elicited the expected level of concern from U.S. officials. "The leftists there seem to be getting their heads cut off," remarked an undersecretary of state from the Carter administration.<66> The U.S. also passed to the Iranians "real and deceptive intelligence" about the Soviet threat on Iran's borders.<67>

Reagan administration officials claimed that their efforts in Iran were designed to build ties to moderates. In fact, however, they were aware that they were dealing with the clerical fanatics. Oliver North told Robert McFarlane and John Poindexter in December 1985 that the anti-tank weapons the U.S. was secretly providing to Iran would probably go to the Revolutionary Guards, the shock troops of the mullahs.<68> In August 1986, the special assistant to the Israeli prime minister briefed George "Out-of-the-Loop" Bush, telling him, "we are dealing with the most radical elements....This is good because we've learned that they can deliver and the moderates can't."<69>
