Legally, it impeded employees' right to join together in labor unions, it undermined the power of unions to represent workers' interests effectively, and it authorized an array of anti-union activities by employers.

"In the 1950's and 60's during the summer children did much of the farm work. Most were Anglo children earning spending money for summer work. The farmers organized buses to run into each town and city and pick up thousands of children. It was a good experience for young people and kept them busy all summer. However, child labor laws were passed in the late 1960's to inhibit this practice. A huge concern for labor and environmentalist was the amount of dangerous pesticides used on the fields. White children would not be exposed, so farmworkers mostly from Mexico, were hired to do the work."

Protestors are in the classic role of "protestors", people with no real power over their lives so they must demand it from the ruling class. Demonstrations also point to a lack of creativity; the only thing we can come up with is playing the song and dance of our rulers. How much longer will these protests go on for? If we could only get a few more tens of thousands to protest, will we be successful in overthrowing capitalism, the state and wage-slavery? Why do the state, capitalism and wage-slavery exist, why do the governments of the U.S. and Israel do what they do, and what are we actually going to do about it?

Efforts to discuss adult/child sexuality in positive terms are now becoming common place. In part it's because much of the research that's coming out supports the view that some forms of adult/child sexual inter-action can be positive. It's also because our government is becoming more fascist and restricting of free speech. While many people are falling prey to this censorship others are beginning to examine the dynamics of censorship, and better understand how it's used, and who it's used against.
