Solidarity for activist Carlos Montes as he goes to trial

Picketing will begin tomorrow morning outside Los Angeles County Superior Court as we prepare for the day's injustice. Carlos Montes is on the docket for a charge fabricated on the basis of a 42 year old misdemeanor. This is an excuse to disrupt his life by forcing him to go to trial. The lifetime of harassment suffered by Montes is how the United States rewards the struggle for peace and justice. Carlos will have his day in court tomorrow, on trumped up charges, simply because a faction of our Secret Police wants him shut up. Solidarity is mandatory. Show that you're human, love and don't surrender.

Communiqué from Decolonize Oakland
Occupy Oakland's failure to fully address the ways that race, gender, and sexual oppression intersect with capitalism in the lives of Oakland's communities of color has made it challenging for us to work under the "Occupy" umbrella. Moreover, the unchecked race and gender privilege within Occupy Oakland's organizing structures has made it difficult for many of our members to fully participate in Occupy meetings and events.

occupy, anarchists, and everyone else left out of the bailouts - march 29-31 celebration!
anarcho-syndicalist union CNT has called for a general strike in spain for march 29th. not to be left out, the other major labor unions have also called their members and supporters out as well.the idea has gone viral throughout europe, and the spanish general strike has spawned a european day of action against capital, to be carried out on march 31.
we're all experiencing this together, so why not take part and make it a worldwide general strike and mobilization against capital?
and instead of trying to all gather in one place, why not gather in local parks? and instead of confronting the masses of police arrayed against us, why not talk with our neighbors, friends and allies? and why not check out more than one gathering? And why not carry banners through the neighborhoods, singing songs, chanting, and asking everyone we meet to join us?
