September 2016: FBI Warned Of School Shooting Threat From YT User Named Nikolas Cruz

In September 2016, a YouTube user named Nikolas Cruz same name as perpetrator of yesterday's Florida high school shooting left a comment on a video stating: "I'm going to be a professional school shooter." The video's creator alerted both the FBI and YouTube.

Last fall, a Mississippi bail bondsman and frequent YouTube vlogger noticed an alarming comment left on one of his videos. "I'm going to be a professional school shooter," said a user named Nikolas Cruz.

The YouTuber, 36-year-old Ben Bennight, alerted the FBI, emailing a screenshot of the comment to the bureau's tips account. He also flagged the comment to YouTube, which removed it from the video.
The FBI Was Warned About A School Shooting Threat From A YouTube User Named Nikolas Cruz In September

In September, a YouTube user named Nikolas Cruz left a comment on a video stating: "I'm going to be a professional school shooter." The video's creator alerted both the FBI and YouTube.

Agents with the bureau's Mississippi field office got back to him "immediately," Bennight said, and conducted an in-person interview the following day, on Sept. 25.

"They came to my office the next morning and asked me if I knew anything about the person," Bennight told BuzzFeed News. "I didn't. They took a copy of the screenshot and that was the last I heard from them."

FBI agents contacted Bennight again Wednesday, after a 19-year-old named Nikolas Cruz allegedly opened fire at a Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in south Florida, killing at least 17 people.

Though his name matches the YouTube user flagged in September, FBI officials would not say whether they have confirmed that the account belonged to Cruz.

But around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday about 30 minutes after Cruz was taken into custody by police in Broward County Special Agent Ryan Furr with the FBI's Miami field office called Bennight and left him a voicemail.

"I think we spoke with you in the past about a complaint that you made about someone making a comment on your YouTube channel," the agent, Ryan Furr, said in the message, which Bennight provided to BuzzFeed News. "I just wanted to follow up with you on that and ask you a question with something that's come up, if you wouldn't mind giving me a ring"

A few hours later, Bennight said FBI agents in Mississippi visited him again in person, pressing for more information about the YouTube user Nikolas Cruz.

"They asked me if I knew who he was, I didn't. I don't," Bennight said. "Then they left."

Nikolas Cruz made a comment in one of my videos a few months ago about wanting to be a school shooter. Today's unfortunate events at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida may have been what he was planning. Here's the story.

Watching the sherif pound his seemingly, in his mind, newly minted celebrity chest talking like he was the most important person on earth I realized this guy had pre-knowledge of events as his over acting was a dead give away. Where all this is going is on the spot mental illness arrests by law enforcement and yes political internment camps. Alex Jones is already blaming the "left" for this attack as a leftwing false flag because "liberals want to take away your guns" leaving me to believe that the Handmaid's Tale is literally being attempted as predicted when finally the establishment is challenged by a real left wing (Not liberal) majority which happening now. Both liberal and conservatives are all working against this new but mostly generationally separated and younger majority. Try as they might the bosses have not been able to stop the bleeding from the national narrative that democrats and republicans have woven.

Police called to shooter's home 39 times in 7 years, FBI screwed up 16.Feb.2018 10:06

Before Nikolas Cruz carried out his mass killing at a Florida high school this week, police responded to his home 39 times over a seven-year period from 2010 for issues including "missing persons" and "domestic disturbance".

The FBI has also issued an apology Friday afternoon, revealing that it had received a tip on Jan. 5, 2018, that Nikolas Cruz was acting erratically and may have been planning a school shooting. The agency failed to act on the tip.

A month and nine days later, Cruz, 19, entered Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, mowing down students and staff with an AR-15. Eighteen people died.

"We are still investigating the facts," said FBI Director Christopher Wray. "I am committed to getting to the bottom of what happened in this particular matter, as well as reviewing our processes for responding to information that we receive from the public."

FBI warned, failed to act on 2018-01-05 about shooter's potential for violence 16.Feb.2018 10:45

On January 5, 2018, a person close to Nikolas Cruz contacted the FBI's Public Access Line (PAL) tipline to report concerns about him. The caller provided information about Cruz's gun ownership, desire to kill people, erratic behavior, and disturbing social media posts, as well as the potential of him conducting a school shooting.

The FBI said the caller provided information about "Cruz's gun ownership, desire to kill people, erratic behavior, and disturbing social media posts, as well as the potential of him conducting a school shooting." The information should have been assessed as a "potential threat to life," the bureau said.

FBI Director Christopher Wray said the bureau is still investigating what happened.

"We have determined that these protocols were not followed for the information received by the PAL on January 5. The information was not provided to the Miami Field Office, and no further investigation was conducted at that time."

"We have spoken with victims and families, and deeply regret the additional pain this causes all those affected by this horrific tragedy," Wray said in the statement. "All of the men and women of the FBI are dedicated to keeping the American people safe, and are relentlessly committed to improving all that we do and how we do it."
