Don't Worry, Let's Be Happy and Impeach Trump as soon as possible! Conflicts of Interest

The Truth Will Set US free!
Quite frankly, I find it shocking that this hasn't emerged as a more significant issue in the mainstream media. In fact, now that I think about it, how wasn't it brought up in any of the presidential debates--from what I remember? Could it be, that no one--including Anderson Cooper et al who moderated at least one debate--of said supposedly critical media took a Donald Trump presidency as a serious possibility? I mean after the pussy-grabbing scandal, i know i certainly didn't. [Side note: it's interesting that a conversation from 2005 during which Trump told Bush that because he's famous, he can grab women "by the pussy" without consequence meant the end of Bush's career at NBC, and Trump is now the President-Elect of the United States ( www.mediaite.com/election-2016/twitter-comes-up-with-employment-opportunities-for-billy-bush-under-donald-trump).]

Well say what you will about The New York Times, at least they have shown the courage to bring up Trump's unbelievably high number of conflicts of interest. Here's an excerpt: " Donald J. Trump's global business empire will create an unprecedented number of conflicts of interest for a United States president, experts in legal ethics say.

Mr. Trump has said he will separate himself from his company before taking the oath of office, but he has not offered any details on how.

Ethics experts warn that if Mr. Trump puts his children in control of operations but continues to own the company, he will remain vulnerable to charges that his actions as president are guided by personal financial interests" ( www.nytimes.com/interactive/2016/12/01/us/politics/trump-conflict-of-interests.html?_r=0).

Furthermore, I was pleasantly surprised to discover a Wikipedia page also dedicated to this immensely important issue:

"This list is incomplete; you can help by expanding it.

Map shows the number of companies owned by Donald Trump[6] that are operating in each country:"

Do I smell impeachment? If there's any so called rule of law as the alt right shills love harping on about so much, Trump and his wannabe fascist hordes should take a full dose of their poisonous rhetoric in the form of vigilant, veracious legal prosecution of their racist regime--starting with Trump.

[On another note I just read that the corporatized large (with over 200 acres) white farmers of America voted overwhelmingly for Trump, which isn't so shocking on a prima facie level, until you look slightly deeper and realize that over 50% of farm workers are undocumented / illegal immigrants. So these geniuses basically voted to deport their workers. Granted they were stirred on somewhat understandably by Trump's clever talk about cutting back on the EPA and removing estate taxes for large farmers--Clinton meanwhile like so much of the overly urbanized country never once addressed any agricultural issues directly (sad commentary on how out of touch the so called left is and why so many rural voters see us as the party of white elites and urban minorities) in any major discussion, as if food (kind of necessary for human life) is a minor issue.

But back to those clever, highly subsidized farmers--Good luck finding any Americans willing to work for slave labor wages with no health insurance in one of the most dangerous industries in the world. Maybe they should start by recruiting some of their angry white rustbelt allies (    link to modernfarmer.com) .]

Whatever happens though, let's keep turning our progressive failures into improvements in the best way with Swadeshi and kaizen, like our victorious indigenous sisters and brothers of the Oceti Sakowin (Standing Rock Dakota Sioux).

only sets expectations so low that he is bound to get reelected.

This Is All To Legally Technical For Ordinary People 08.Dec.2016 06:42

It looks like the best we can do now is to try to influence the government, maybe by protesting or whatever, to preserve social justice. Complaining about Trump now is a total dead end.

Probably Trump can deal with this by setting up a limited partnership entity, or some legal construct like that.

Things about the new Trump administration look not-so-great out of the gate, so there will be real issues to protest.

Never Underestimate Yourself

'You may not always have a comfortable life and you will not always be able to solve all of the world's problems at once but don't ever underestimate the importance you can have because history has shown us that courage can be contagious and hope can take on a life of its own.'

(First Lady Michelle Obama)

Well, I don't think the conflicts of interest data requires a MENSA iq to comprehend it. But I do agree with your point that solidarity proves key. As far as an immediate issue that all conscientious people should rally together in fighting--just like we did recently and successfully with standing up for the rights of the Dakota Sioux with surprising support from the Army Corps of Engineers, granted in large part due to the massively significant backing of military veterans, including Wesley Clark Jr., celebrities and public intellectuals including Cornel West of Harvard and Princeton--let's focus on REJECTING THE NOMINATION OF SCOTT PRUITT AS EPA ADMINISTRATOR.

Pruitt boasts about leading the charge against pollution limits on toxic substances like soot and mercury that put us all at risk for increased cancer, childhood asthma and other health problems. He falsely claims that fracking doesn't contaminate drinking water supplies.

The EPA is responsible for upholding national air quality standards and regulating discharges of pollutants into water bodies to protect people and the environment. The more stringent the standards, the cleaner the air we breathe and the water we drink.

Instead, Pruitt has been part of a secretive, coordinated national corporate campaign to undo the federal pollution protections that are supposed to keep our air and water clean. In exchange, he has received nearly $315,000 from the fossil fuel industry since 2002.

Trump has continued to insult all intelligent and conscientious people in America and the world with this ludicrous nomination.
