what exactly did you mean by, "mainstream"?

if you are talking about (right-winger language) 'mainstream media' aka 'MSM', there has been zero reportage of this interview with Quanell X, except on the local KRIV-TV channel, where it was originally broadcast, and Chron newspaper outlets.

i.e. it was not reported, analyzed, promoted or discussed on CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times, Washington Post [if in fact that's what you meant by "mainstream"] etc.
Those are corporate mass media outlets. Which have ignored / not covered this local Houston TV interview commentary segment of Quanell X.

So therefore, you are incorrect to assert that this brief interview segment as posted here to IMC, is (somehow...) "mainstream regurgitation". The only coverage of its occurrence has been via independent YouTube channels, a local newspaper, and several other non-'mainstream' media outlets discussing it.

YOU'RE WRONG.
